what brand or rubber band do you use? The rubber bands I have snap when I try to put large amounts of hair in them like that and they don't stretch as well. @MsNailtech74 In certain situations it's not good to wet hair, for instance styling. You can wet the hair, however just lightly. Wetting the hair helps you understand which sections you're working with, it also makes things more organized. Again, depending on what you're doing.

when you bring hair into the braid from one side its called a dutch braid, just by the way.

If you like braids that stand out more, try a dutch braid. It's just like a french braid only instead of going over when you braid, you go under.
