they're a pretty specific breed and some cats can look like rusian blues, but the way to tell if they are is if they have blue skin under their white coat!

Nor do I want to be controversial. He is a beautiful cat whatever you want to call him. When I Googled the red point the "experts" said it is a breed whose lineage is in fact based on genetics and they connect them to other siamese cats. On tends to think of the russian blue as a distinct breed too. Those who argue that all white and pink ears are red point siamese have a whole movement going on. I've lived with two of them one who came with the tag.

That is a "Red-Point" Siamese. All white and nice pink ears, not to mention a communicator.
