if tourism was one of their biggest income earners they are going to be a lot worse off from now on. With the Muslim Brotherhood and Salafis taking control, no one will want to visit.
The same story aljazeera keep repeating >> and the same dirty journalism practiced by aljazeera toward egypt , Egypt will never be in economic crisis as long as Allah has promised this land to be safe , Allah sufice US , this bad image aljazeera try to fabricate about the situation in egypt will oneday perish and Allah promise shall last , Respectfull honest economists Always see a promising future for egypt after corruption found no way to strive in it
@tuobniklat Faith in Jesus is the only faith that ISN'T misplaced. And my comment was directed to the EGYPTIAN who made the first comments. My advice and insight stand. If I didn't care, I wouldn't bother trying to open the blinded eyes of islam to their false god. The nations I mentioned will never rise again...they will struggle until they perish as a nation, which IS truly sad.
Food prices is what first triggered thie "Arab Spring." It shows how flawed the welfare state is as is sharia fiance. The way things are going, they are leaping from the pan into the fire.
As well as Egyptian economy being left in shambles, unemployment is sky rocketing. Christians & other ethnic minorities are also finding themselves being segregated & persecuted. The only reason Mubarak was deposed is because Egypt shares a border with UK, just like Tunisia and Libya. Any country which borders the UK, Israel or their allies will be destabilized & invaded, regardless of regime. The African Union needs to "man up" and protect their people from the pending invasion.
from an egyptian yes things are harder in the short term but who prefers income to freedom dont deserve to live we fought for freedom the chants in tahrir square were freedom and social justice economy will be better by time bare in mind the previous regime was rotten corrupt..if you watch any arabic newschannel like aljazeera or alarabya they all say the same thing and giva a bad image on tunisia and egypt so there own people dont thing about revolution against the slavery over there
Nothing hushed about it,,,Egypts economy has been in the toilet for years. when the oil runs out every other islamic nation will be in the same position.
@InsufferablePrick123 not true... turkey and Indonesia both do not have oli both g20 countries side by side wit saudi arabia Egypt was one of the biggest developing economies IN THE WORLD before the revolution and it will continue to be after the transitional period ends
this report is so biased... it is true but the way they reported it make it sound like it is something new..... in 2009 inflation was 18% and before the revolution 48% were living on the line of poverty ...... yes the revolution affected the economy, but they make it sound as if it was heaven before the revolution
@TheDayApproaches Fuck off. Cultist chickenhawk. If you cared about people like your bible tells you to you'd be off youtube and out helping people regardless of their religion (or lack thereof).
and oh wait, what , we egyptians planning for a new revolution? jan 25 2012? pathetic...we may think we are doign selves good, but infact more harm. wait for it to bite on us harder and harder.

@TheDayApproaches hehe "If I didn't care, I wouldn't bother trying to open the blinded eyes of islam to their false god"
it's the exact same god you believe in differently than they do. hehe. calling your god false is a start, i'll admit that much.

And the Lord said:
"I burn down your cities.
How blind you must be.
I take from you your children,
and you say how blessed are we.
You must all be crazy to put your faith in me.
That's why i love mankind.
You really need me.
That's why i love mankind."

@longliveegypt1 ""Egypt was one of the biggest developing economies IN THE WORLD before the revolution""
You're kidding,,,,right?
Years of 40% unemployment and daily wages averaging two dollars a day are why the revolution occurred in the first place.
A developing world economy my ass.

They don't examine the causes of the crisis or the fact that it was the crisis that spurred the revolution.
