  • Now that's not a bad idea. No borders :D Plus the car is live size, pretty much. Would be cool playing BC2 or CoD on those three huge screens.

  • Can i play GTA San Andreas on Eyefinety ???

  • @SutkasFan

Probably. Might have to hit widescreengaming forum for info on how to.

  • soo pretty!

  • dirt2 is the best game i love it

  • holy shit!

  • haha, yea. You kill the guy and he craps himself. lol

  • fps ?

  • Eyefinity is a pretty cool idea. It's a cheaper option as opposed to buying a projector and a curved screen, which would look a lot nicer. I hate all the lines, but the increased field of vision would be nice, making games at least feel like they have slightly more visual depth too them and make them more immersive.

  • WHAT SCREENS ARE THOSE?

  • projectors.....

  • its true if You play games a lot you will actually see difference in frame rate! Not everyone notices it......

  • What is the appeal of this over something like Ostendo Technologies' 44' monitor?

    Just asking.

  • lol I personally can't see why would you need that extra 2 monitors since you must concentrate on the middle one anyways if you want to see where are you driving... So, most of the time you don't even notice what's happening on the 2 other ones... you only know they are there... I'm sorry but I wouldn't pay for extra 2 monitors just to know that they are there lol....

  • hardcore gamers like that, obviously you are not one :D

you know enemies b4 you can normally see them (one example)

You can also open more windows (office users)

  • I'm at heart an hardcore gamer, but even i dont see the use in eyefinity. i mean sure, you can see enemies on your sides, but cant you see them anyway? and also it seems to just streach out the screen when doing regular apps on windows.

Great for gaming, but bad for windows...

  • It puts you more in the game i guess, like you are really there...

  • its just more immersive. theres no real point to eyefinity, but using 3 monitors angled, so that the game fills your vision i think might be a more immersive experiance than just one.

  • No, you cant see them anyway.. because it gives you a cinematic/panoramic field-of-vision.. It allows you to see off the side, things you are unable to see with a normal 4:3 / 16:9 aspect ratio. And, Triplehead2go, not eyefinity.. is great for windows, if you need 3 monitors anyway.. (which some people do)

    - The bezels inbetween monitors take about a minute to get used to, far more immersive than one screen. ;o)

  • @DaRkStAr197

Solution, use one screen for an app, not that difficult, or resize it, nothing gets done without a little effort. And how can you "see the enemies anyway" when the monitors don't exists? your field of view with one monitor is alot different from a tri monitor setup; Eyefinity allows more to see since the games it supports don't "stretch" out the game display but actually expand it.

  • well for FPS games you can see what's on your sides and shit. It's also great for MMOs

  • @syso01

When in a racing game you can get to see those next to you, also in certain games the field of view is much larger, providing an immersive feeling. Productivity shoots up at least 60% for dual/tri monitor pc setups. There are many reaons this is helpful, but also how much you're willing to put into your gaming is subjective, you may not see the point but he does.

  • its cool and all, but seriously after spending this amount of money of a rally game wouldn't you rather go do it in real life? i know i would..

  • so this is eye finity?? big fucking deal...i was running this 3years ago with 8800GTX

  • 3 monitors? no you were not

  • m8, u couldnt use resolution of 5200x1900 or even higher on the 8800gtx, so shush

  • If by "running this 3 years ago" you mean you were able to play the game, no one cares. I can play this game on my laptop - the point here is the technology behind eyefinity. You can now achieve greater resolutions, screen angles, and view size than ever before on consumer priced video cards.

  • Lmfao, in three words, no you weren't.

  • @xStalkerxx That's because you had an nvidia card you dumbfuck.

  • Oh Shit....!

  • oh shitt

  • WOOOWW !!!!!

  • Cost vs performance ATI always wins. The hundreds of dollars you save buying ATI and AMD products is unmatched. Even if Nvidia out performs on certain levels it is not noticeable by the human eye, only the benchmark numbers on the screen.

  • That's exactly what I've been saying! But you say it in a much more better way. A friend of mine said: Don't buy ATI, Nvidia is sooo much better. I ended up with the 4870x2 and I am very pleased with it

  • Its a sad fact most people buy numbers.

6GB ram is better than 4GB of ram

    3.2GHZ is better than 2.66GHZ

    120FPS is better than 80fps

They dont take into account if that number will actually produce some tangible result at the end of the line

  • this is the goal of marketing man ^^

  • To R74W2 : Actually I think thats totally wrong. Put the same game side to side on the exact same screens. With on PC able to run it a 25fps and one with a perfect constant 60fps with vsync.

I guarentee even a 12 year old can see the difference.

  • Funny, when I was 12 I did.

    :D

  • Yes it can. There is a clear difference.

Although the eye won't be able to see each frame individually, it can see more than that together, making it a very very smooth movement.

  • lol 25 fps? maybe even if that was true, 60fps will make a much more smother image hence, it appears much more smoother.

  • @bandisme until the GPU melts from the poor heat dissipation

  • just a thought 3d vision would be awesome with this 2 bad thats nvidia

  • this is HD xPP

  • W/E il just wait for Nvidia to release their new 300 series.

  • google "Nvidia kills GTX285, GTX275, GTX260, abandons the mid and high end market"

  • Josh1901 Charlie Demerjian is a nut job xD google his name

  • hd5850 so bad

  • why?

  • What's next from nvidia that's almost cool enough to scrap my gtx285 in sli

  • 8-18% faster Nvidia 385 GTX duhh!!

  • I have too gtx285 in sli and its a beast.

  • Too bad, two 5850's in crossfire for ~ 500$ already smoke 'em

  • who asked you?

  • Niceeeeeeeeeeeeee

  • wow

  • That's the exact setup i'm makin in my basement....... NO JOKE!!!!

  • u go girl

  • I'm a dude! I know i'm pretty, but sheeeesh! lol

  • all it takes is 3 projector screens and 3 projectors

  • I'm not using screens. I actually built the side walls at a 30 degree angle. I have 3 infocus in83 projectors, so each screen will be about 150". I'm just afraid of giving myself a stroke when playing, lol. My wife says I'm crazy, I think it's awesome. Should get the card 2morrow.

  • that will be cool, just wondering with the correct distance also the angle, are you placing the projectors at the back or facing front?

Thank you for your reply(maybe you could send me a quick drawing?

I would love to do the same so that I have no bezel problem :-)

  • You my good sir are very badass.

Now just get 3 more projectors, stack them, bolt them, and do frame interlacing for 3d.

  • This is the best implementation of eyefinity.

It'd probably be even better with a curved screen though.

Also, need some projector blending to get this going, otherwise the projectors will look different from eachother.

  • A better example of eyefinity rather than the other vid I saw with 6 monitors and a big black line from the edges of the monitors right in the middle of the eyeline

  • 5870 is real deal

  • WARNING: Sarcasim

Wait, why do you want alll this amazing resolution and incredibly detailed graphics? This doesn't add to immersion or realism?

What you want, is to go back to 640x480 and I'll give you a magic wand you can use to wiggle back and forth to control your character! That's immersion for you!

  • Bevels. Those damn bevels.

  • 5870 ftmfw!!

  • I hear ya :P

  • 3d vision vs 3d environment lol what if we have 6 screens @ 360 degree circle and we are inside now thats crazzy

  • If this isn't immersive, I don't know what is/

  • looks COOL!!

  • Looks sick, I want.

  • Cant wait to see the specs for the next gen Radeon cards, this is insane! 24 million pixels...Imagine.

  • Their new tech is soooooo great!!!! this will save people tons of cash who want to do that kind of setup. Go look for a TripleHead2Go. They are flippin expensive. Save 300 bucks and buy ATI, I'm all 4 it. Now I need to go make a 45 degree wall in the corner of my basement so I can hook up triple projectors. ATI/AMD for the win baby!!!

  • Why isnt the dirt spinning up from the tires? Very Impressive though.

  • Now that I think about it, it might have been GRID 2, but I honestly can't remember. Anyone know for sure?

  • They havent shown anything on GRID 2 yet, and DiRT2 is launching as a DX11 title so this is most likely dirt 2..

  • its Dirt 2, lol...

It has same flashbacks as grid had,

I played Dirt 2 demo on xbox, and the hud's are the same. So its Dirt

Cant wait to buy 5870 with dx11 support and play dirt 2 with it lol's, i have 4870x2 atm, thinking of selling it before the price will drop down.

  • Just checking, thanks for the confirmation. :P

  • "TimeShift"-Grid-like, eh?

Need! (Not the game, the hardware O_O )

  • Do Want!

  • Damn !
