Why are the best trance songs always so unpopular?

I believe it's because people blindly follow the songs top DJ's say are popular (even though most are terrible) and dont take the extra effort to find great tunes on their own.

@judgejeremy4 for the same reason shows like the Jersey Shore and American Idol are #1, people have no depth to them and have no taste! Trance music is one of my favorite things in this world and I dont like very many things
