This is most excellent GAY! I was bopred so I tried this with an old Direct TV Dish I had lying around along with the same Belkin wireless wifi that I used for my old desktop and I didn't receive any more wireless networks than using my laptops built in wifi nor were the signals received any stronger. I think Belkin made these stupid videos just to sell more of their wifi cards then idiots like this moron can make their own stupid videos trying to show off their stupidity.

I tried this with a 6 foot c band mesh dish and it kicks ass!!!! I used a collector around a wifi antenna where the lnb usually goes and fine tuned its position, waterproofed it, and used the dish movement controller ontop of my roof. Now thats the most excellent wifi antenna!!!

I tried this due to having to hang my tinfoil makeshift wireless adapter booster out the window, thought it would save me the embarrasement of that hanging it out there being downtown above a store front, but it doesnt recieve the same signals from just behind the glass, nor did I see any increase of any signals from this setup, tried two types of wireless adapters, cisco and netgear. So now I got a satellite dish sitting in my apt :() and am out 100buks :(

Built mine and it works like a charm.If the opening in the wave port was a little bigger could get the network adapter in further and tha thing would really romp but as far as distance I locked mine in at about 37 dbi which is very good.Nothing to bitch about here.Thx for the vid

dunno, fairly sure the focal point for the dish is inside the horn behind the plastic cap, so I would think you are like 2 inches off assuming the internal antenna on the usb is on opposite end from the usb connector. and a millimeter of positioning error can affect the signal hugely

I'm tired after watching this guys video lol ... there are some issues with antenna polarization and the actual focal point is off as well as the plane but it's doable in a kinda crude way, could be lots better as well .... always room to experiment and perfect, that's what it's all about !

Couple things about this design. You don't point the dish up, you would normally point it downward so the signals reflect into the dish. Also, Parabolic antennas use a feed to guide the waves into the dish. Add these tips and your friends will know you are leet.
