  • I followed the steps but the gifs come out really slow when I view them.

  • @kaosblarrg that is an eventuality it happens...fast way to do it: before converting it, go to "Video" then "frame rate" then you multiply the number of original frame rate. example, if the video is 30fps, try 60 or 90 :)

  • where does it output?

  • @SkeptikalHD in the same folder of the program usually :)

  • what is the song name ?

  • @HurtfulProductions Arr, I forgot, it's a copyleft song, If I find out the name I write it here and send u a message :D

  • @MrShoy okay thank you, this is a good song.

  • @MrShoy if you didn't delete your downloads it should be in there at least listed, or in your downloads folder it should be there. this will give you the name or url of where it could be found.

  • it doesn't work even if i use AVI :/

  • @miyavi22kun and that is strange, which codec it's using that avi? it should work if it's a xvid dixv.

  • Erightsoft has a gif maker in it's free vid software but the gifs always look grainy.

Is there another free or share software that does it clear?.

ps. I don't have PS or Gimp.

  • @snowdog03 haven't you tried virtualdub? What you need to do exactly? :)

  • @MrShoy Yes VDub is much clearer but the gif only plays at 10 fps, I don't have PS or Gimp so I guess I'm SOL. lol

  • It worked. :D its better then trying to figure it out on confusing photoshop

  • Thank you! I've been downloading converters for ages but none of them worked so I decided to look on YouTube to see one that actually does work rather than me downloading 100s. Thank you so much!

  • awesome i subbed :)

  • Mh, its in slowmo here. what to do?

  • @unbreakablefootage you must import it into gimp, and save it, then save as an animation, look for an option for frame rate that should change the speed of the animation. :D

  • WORKS! thanks :D

  • once you have closed the video where do you find the gif, please please please help <3

  • @2008karenzoie in the folder of VirtualDub <3

  • thx!

  • Sucks ass, the animated gif doesnt move, and its 8 fucking mb.

  • @TheCrownedMedia so are you saying 20 persons+me are saying a lie? Are you sure you scaled it a little, in the worst cases, it should be very slow, but not immobile. Convert the movie in another format more userful like mpeg and try again.

  • @MrShoy Im sorry I thought this was an AVI to GIf Converter not an MPEG to Gif Converter.

I shouldnt have to do that. But forget it I changed my mind anyway.

  • @TheCrownedMedia Yes, THIS IS an Avi to gif, but YOU said it wasn't moving at all your result, then I hinted you an ALTERNATIVE way to make it happen. If you don't want the result, go to another video and be happy.

  • whenever I do that, my gif lags

  • @ThEZuKane interesting.Have you tried to scale it down a little bit?

  • @MrShoy scale it down? uhh.. I don't know what that is >.<

  • @ThEZuKane filters, scale, set the resolution, save as gif. It should become better.

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH MAN I FUCKIN LOVE YOu. !!! (no homo) =P

  • @tntFLAMER *hugs* I'm really glad you love me too :) if you need something like this in future, like a problem or something you can direct message me and I will see what can I do :D

  • What is virtual dub ? how can i find the virtual dub ??

  • @amie91 it's the first link in the description :)

Virtual Dub is a video editor/converter, depends on what you have to do.. or like, if you need to add hard written subtitles you can do that too :)

  • @MrShoy Oh , okay ! Thank you so much Mr. Shoy !!

  • How do you resize this? Its getting so fucking annoying trying to resize with right click and setting the dimensions

  • @Uriel6178 filters, resize, set the resolution, and save it as gif. :D

  • Great thanks

  • it's justlike heating up a food on the oven..haha..just need to wait, till the food is ready..haha..

    btw nice one!

  • how do you change the size of the output file?

  • @jovialmarshmallow024 If I remember good, you have to add a filter(like you would in converting the video) resize then you set the dimensions, and then you follow the tutorial :D

Tell me if it doesn't work :D

  • @MrShoy Thanks! ^_^ It worked for me!

  • @MrShoy HEY THANKS IT WORKS!! But where does it put the GIF file :/

  • @Crudeowl229 in the same folder as virtualdub :D

  • How do i change the speed? mine is going slow.

  • @Joemamma69000 Addictional step: you must import it into gimp, and save it, then save as an animation, look for an option for frame rate that should change the speed of the animation. :D

  • hm

  • This thing is Satan, I need so many compressors and converters it is honestly not worth your time.

  • @FashionistoIRE if it needed only one tool for everything you ever need, it would end the fight against companies that makes the same product.

For example, in my videos, I explain, evolving from time, which, in that moment, is the best tool for making that particular thing.

It's like if you are asking Paint to edit your video..

  • @MrShoy I just used Gimp and GAP and I did it easier than here. I had to download so many items for this and I still didn't have it right. It is not simple like your title suggests.

  • @FashionistoIRE So many items? how can be.. I just downloaded virtualdub(or the mod one I i dont remember since I have both) I just installed the common video codecs I'm used to and I dragged the video inside and I saved it. Then Obv if you wanna edit it you use gap. But imo I find gap seriously complicated.. it's just me eh :P

  • @FashionistoIRE how to use Gimp And Gap for making .gif images?

  • @rhythm020 slideshare. net /Keef21Moon /how-to-make-a-gif-from-a-video-file-using-gimp

  • Try to open converted file without virtual duband the speed is very slow ... how can i speed up my gif ?

  • @serjjomiru When I need to change the speed of a gif file I open it in Gimp, then I save it as gif, it asks me if still or in motion, then it asks you the speed of the entire gif.

Bigger is the value, slower is the gif. 1000=1 second.

there is also the option if you want to apply that speed to every frame of the gif(after a conversion from the video, I hint that)

  • Thanks ;DD

  • how can i open the gif file?

  • @zhangwuvids with a free gif editor if you mean to open it to edit the frames :)

  • Cool. Thanks!

  • @cshieny ;)

  • Genius ;D ! Thanxx

  • It didn't work for me.. The video was 8 seconds long, was originally an mp4 file, then I converted it to an .avi file, still didn't work. I downloaded the video from youtube.

  • @whiteexpress94 have you tried using mediacoder? if still not work I will try to find another method :)

  • @MrShoy It seems to me that I can't download MediaCoder. I don't if it's restricted in my country or something...help?

  • @whiteexpress94 I explain you what happened:

Mediacoder has an owner that bored opensource communities cause he messed up everything. I will send you a message with the new address

  • Will this work with an .wmv file?

  • Thankyou. ~ :DDDDDDD

  • Is there any program you can use other than virtual dub?

  • @xGrangerDangerx well yes, you can still try with Mediacoder :)

  • @xGrangerDangerx

-Drag the gif in the mediacoder window

    -Choose the video codec

    -Convert

    -Done :)

  • Thanks man!

  • Wow, im def using this tut. Thanks man!

  • @tornado1014 :)

  • thx ...

  • yw :D

  • Thanks! Works perfect and fast :)
