@Byteme4real Can u imagine the PRESSURE of having to outdo yourself season after season? How WOULD you outdo these clothes? I never knew how brilliant he was till after he died. No one comes close. We're not worthy to even see these clothes. It;s like they were made for gods, not people. That might sound silly and melodramatic but this stuff was just too good. Too good.

i heard that natasha, sasha and abbey lee did not do this fashion show coz they refuse to wear those killer shoes.haha..i guess they just couldn't keep up with Mcqueen's craziness.even the 'queen' of runaway natasha was not up to all challenges,we know how sasha walks, so she should spare her feet and i guess abbey lee is still recovering from the trauma she got when she fainted after wearing Mcqueen's supertight corset. The prints are simply beautiful! I didn't like at all Alexander McQueen f/w 2009/2010, but this are really more chic and have a stronger symbolistic, the dramatic lines are just pure fashion.

McQueen to me is known to shock. And as for fashion being fashioned for human bodies...that's a very limiting box you've put on something that shouldn't have boundaries. I think it's obvious he was trying to portray an image of something other-worldly and almost inhuman appearance. It nearly scared me, but in a good way.

That's a decent, thoughtful reply. You're right on a level, in that art does not have any boundaries and there are no authorities other than the desires of the self. Though for me, I would argue that human beings have a biological set of innate desires, and through fashion they can be subtly addressed. Where McQueen fashions the human body as grotesque, I would fashion it in such a way that is accented. Though it's personal preference, your opinion reveals something deeper about your own psyche.

I think the thing I don't like about it is how it's fashion removed from fashion. Fashion should be fashioned for human bodies. In this line it appears that most largely identifiable human factors are being made strange in such a way to where you feel like you're not looking at a person, but rather something else. Because I expect an identifiable human as the foundation for the rest of fashion, as the very source that brings the fashion to life, this is garbage to me

This exceptional collection makes this season's Ungaro show look like a waste of time, money and fabric.

So much genuine passion has been put into this collection and it shows in every print, fold and detail. This is what craftsmanship is all about.

It was sad to see Oliver go b/c fashion needs more brave innovators/sterling visionaries who aren't afraid to take risks like him and McQueen.

Thank god McQueen and his team are here to stay and I can't wait to see what they come up with next!
