Thanks for your reply and nice comment. For at least the last 5 or 6 years the fashion in Norway has been to cut the manes flat - all one length. You can check it out at one of the Norwegian Fjordhorse web sites. You will see some beautiful Fjords there.
gorgeus. i have a "brunblakk" gelding. (dont know what that is in english:P) someday i would like to get a red or grey one. have a little family of fjords. hehe.
Hei hei, Thanks for your interest in Erlend. Brunblakk translates as brown dun but we prefer to use the Norwegian terms, so we call him Grå. Tusen takk - Peg Knutsen
Hi, Thanks for your interest in our pride and joy. Erlend stands for outside mares as long as they are registered Fjord horses and not too closely related. He has 70 registered progeny in 4 countries at this point. Let us know if you are interested.
Hi, The music is Edvard Greig, famous Norwegian composer. I don't recall which piece it is, but can let you know when my husband arrives home. Yes, Erlend thinks he's pretty amazing too. So far, he has 70 registered progeny in 4 countries. He won the Get of Sire class in 2006 at the 1st National Fjord show. Good boy! Thanks for your interest. Peg
Thanks for your comments. Do you like Undre? Erlend has 67 registered progeny in four countries, and most of them are very nice in temperament and conformation.
Hi - riding this stallion is a joy, not hard, but quite springy. He has a good work ethic - just set a North American record for Draft Evaluation. Good boy! Thanks for your interest. Peg
Erland is truly a stunner! And he creates the image that Norwegian Fjord horses are known for. What a joy to have such a stallion in our own "backyard".
Although this clip has a rough start due to choppy narration at the beginning, this is a vivid illustration of why Norwegian Fjords are such MAGICAL horses! The background music (Hall of the Mountain King) was especially appropriate.
Hi - Erlend won the Get of Sire class at the recent National Fjord Horse Show. He does a lot of AI breedings, and this clip is a portion of a 15-minute video we had made for mare owners. I tried to edit out the dialog, but couldn't without losing the music. Maybe I should have started at the beginning, but I didn't want the video to show as a total ad.
Thanks for your comments - it was fun fitting the clip to the music. Peg Knutsen

Erlend is the best stallion I've never seen. He is the proud dad of my horse Blitzen. He gives a lot to his progeny to make them so unique.

Okay, I see why it's chopped at the beginning. I gave 5 stars despite the chop. Erland is awesome! My mare, Opal had an Erland grandson last month.
