Oh yeah, this is opening this year. Is it fun? Usually these water slides with the lapbars and completely straight drops aren't fun. The fun ones have double down drops to produce airtime.

Is what is on mycpguide true is STR really opening? that is so cool because im going up on saturday.in your opinion how bad do u think the line is going to be? my guess 1-1.5hrs.

@Disney8289 It's as true as Cedar Point made it to be. They announced that yesterday over all of there social streams so hopefully this is the real thing!

I personally think that there isn't going to be too long of a wait for this ride at all, but I guess we will see soon how long the line will really be!

It's still not open, it was completely drained when I was there on Father's Day. I was disappointed that they took out the old log ride and replaced it with yet another roller coaster (Maverick). What does that one bring that the others don't have? Couldn't they have put it somewhere else.

It seems like every amusement park has 3 water rides that are always a log ride, a rapids ride and another that makes a big splash on the drop. It would be nice to have more variety or maybe even a fourth?

@BFMV9414 They were most likely running it to just to show everyone. The boats were too long and now they have to get new boats and repair the flume because running the boats damaged the sides.

I know that every new ride has some bugs when testing, but c'mon. If I remember correctly, Maverick was delayed only three weeks because of it's heartline roll. Shoot the Rapids was supposed to open on CP's opening day, it didn't. Memorial Day, it didn't. Now it's the 20th of June and it's still closed. Wonder when it actually will open..

The reason it was delayed was because the boats wouldn't fit on the track and they had to change the design of em so hello delay

@MrCEDARPOINT98 Walk the length of the Main Midway, turn onto the Hot Summer Lights/Iron Dragon/Wildcat Midway and follow that to and along the Frontier Trail. You should see it on your right.

Thing is, you probably get more wet on the second drop... On many water rides, a tall hill doesn't have to mean a huge splash. Or all the water is driven out in front of the boat. Also, they have those water jets shoot you on the second drop.

it kinda makes me mad that the big drop is before the little drop. anyone else think so? like wouldn't u wanna do the smaller drop first to build up anticipation or something? o well

i like the ride, but at the end of the second drop, i saw the boat kind of "jump" out a bit. its maybe just me, but it kinda scared me. and it seems kind of rough. like at the turn after the second drop. it may not seem like a big bump but if you were to really ride it, it would really bump you hard.

but overall, i really like the ride. its a good ride to cool down on if its a hot day.

i like how you can see millennium force fly right past over in that area now cause before you couldnt see it cause of all da trees an stuff dis new ride looks pretty cool i heard theres a waterfall on here and some other stuff to get you wet

It doesn't look as if it will be too drenching. I think that if you watch the boat go down the hill it looks as if the water will splash more to the sides rather than on you.

and its kinda in the middle of millennium force which is awesome to hear it roaring past and get a view of a part thats been quite hidden from the public before!

That's cool. They weren't testing Sunday. They were welding this area of the ride and the water fall was off. The boats were parked by the station with water dummies though. And it's kind of hard to see while riding Millennium Force. Top Thrill Dragster goes a little too fast over the top hat to take it all in but you get a decent glimpse of the whole layout.
