I hate that story Brandon tells about the first day of school. Hello, show - we were there when the Walsh kids first got to West Bev! Brandon did not trip, did not split his lip, did not meet Donna. Brenda introduced him to Donna a while later. In fact, Donna was barely a character with lines back then! Sheesh.

EVERYONE knows melrose was a spinoff bec it debuted 2 years AFTER 90210, and kelly,steve,david, and donna in the first few episodes.....exactly why the new melrose came after the new 90210. As for laura leighton, she got killed off on (the original)melrose opting not to "renew her contract"....then jumped over to 90210 the following season for 6figures an episode,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,DUH,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,do your homework!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The writers were different in season 9 which is why you don't remember those memories occuring on his first day. So that's more of just a different version of the pilot. Just like how when Dylan came back Steve immediately offers him a glass of high proof wine. Writers didn't know he was a recovering alcoholic. NEW writers.

In my opinion, seasons 7-10 was like a complete different show to me because the more important epidemics that people go through in their everyday lives were tossed aside as an unwanted format, and it became a boring show about rich kids and their boring relationships lol

@PopCulture20 "How the hell can Melrose Place be a spin-off of Beverly Hills 90210 when you got Melrose Place actors like Laura Leighton playing two different people in the same franchise?" its called acting, meaning it doesn't matter. more times then not, in a long running show like BH 90210, one actor can come by and play two different characters with a few seasons separating the two roles.
