  • I fly my flag everyday in honor of all our vets........and I'm not a veteran but have such a great respect for the men and women who served to keep us safe..........what a scacrafice............Great video it made me tear up...........

  • Hooah.

  • Why is the Navy guy wearing the Army Good Conduct Medal? The red a ribbon with white stripes is the Army Good Conduct and should be worn to the outside of the Purple Heart medal.

  • Two very proud service members trying still to out do the other's branch of the service but paying full tribute knowing that one has gone before us. Half mast, Bravo Zulu! Once you're retired, we're all in the same organization and need to stick together.

  • the purple hearts are obvious, but what are the other medals?

  • My father in law is now living with us, he is a Vietnam Vet, retired Air Force. I am a vet also, So I feel a need or maybe an obligation to take care of him. He is 77 now, and needs help and I do it for him. Hooah

  • <o li

  • 22 people need to be buttstroked to the face lol. also loved the video. the 5 branches may taunt and tease each other, but thats because we are all 1 big family. ~US Army OEF Det. Ops. Veteran.

  • Brilliantly done! This was the first video I favorited on youtube and watch it often. I share it on FB and twitter on Memorial & Veteran's Days. My Dad proudly served in the Army. Thanks so much for making this!

  • Podem dizer o que quiserem dos americanos, mas não tem povo tão patriótico como eles. Quem dera que os brasileiros dessem tanto valor a sua bandeira...

  • I don't care how many times I watch this...I'm a "train wreck"! What a great video! After 26 years of service, I guess I'm gonna be the Navy Chief!

  • happy memorial day. Thank you all service men and women serving and veterans for everything.

  • Aí está a diferença.

A crença, a fé e a vontade de um país naquilo que acredita.

    Força Brasil......

  • This is a lovely tribute, both funny and moving, to the men who have fought for us. Thanks for uploading it.

With all due respect, if the Brothers Montierth want to make a feature version with David Huddleston and Jimmy McEachin, they'd better hurry up, as both men are now past 80, and don't have that many reveilles left.

With best Memorial Day wishes to all,

    Nicholas Stix

  • Joe Mitchell USMC Vietnam 2 tour combat veteran, HMM-262, 1stMAW, CH46D Crewchief and gunner. This film really made swallow hard a flow of tears. Nothing like the friendship created and shared over my lifetime with my Marines as well as other friends in the other branches of service. Those were very tough times! Yet the memories will last a lifetime with those who served. Love you all! Semper fi, Joe

  • EXELENTE EJEMPLO.- TODOS TENDRIAMOS QUE IMITARLOS.-

  • Wonderful ,has me all teary eyed, very moving, hit me in my heart. Thanks

  • "Leave no man behind" Just to add. No matter what branch,,,,,,,,,,

  • I swear I can't watch this without breaking into tears every single time. It begins when they put on their uniforms again. I remember when my grandfather would step into his uniform. He seemed to grow three feet taller, his chest would puff out, and he'd glow like the noonday sun.

  • Because the PC world would have rather have had the the white guy die first.

  • Why on earth are there 22 dislikes to this? Unbelievable !!

  • I laughed at their attempts to out-do each other every morning but I love the respect the navy guy gave to the Army when he passed away, just goes to show that regardless of which branch you serve in, you are all brothers in arms

  • FUCK USA.

  • @williandelvalle

    FUCK YOU TROLL

  • I'm usually a strong opponent of the armed forces, but this movie got my respect. And salute to all the veterans...

  • How could 21 Legs dislike this? WOW!!!

  • Very touching. Had to hold back the tears a bit, I admit.

    Thanks to all who served.

    USAF 77-81

BTW, I noticed in the credits reference to "Navy Man", "Army man", and "Air Force Man"... looks like Air Force Man got edited out?

  • Awesome! Thanks to all my fellow Vets who served! Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, The people He has chosen as His own inheritance. Psalms 33:12 God bless America!

  • I loved this video. I laughed then cried my eyes out.

  • How did we ever participate in Wars with all of you cry babies. Korea was such a long time ago, at least for some of us. I lost something there and still have not been able to find it.

  • I've seen this before; then as now, my "sinuses" act up.

A former USAF Military Working Dog Handler - Vietnam-Era

    GO USA!!!

  • I retired after 25 years in the USAF.

The first time I saw this video I cried and ever since I have trouble watching it without tearing up.

I don't know how I came onto it but it has been as a shortcut on my favorites for, at least, two years.

I have a "Love me Room" where I display a history of my service and I have

this video as a TV loop so I can share it with our guests.

    Msg(Ret)Peter., USAF

  • As an Army Vet, I said the same to a Marine. No matter the branch, we fight for the same freedom we cherish at the end

  • This is amazing!!! I cried, but I loved this video. Too many times, it is that last little bit we can give each other, that will at least bring happiness for a short while, and then we are gone, Having just done a funeral a month ago, for a Veteran, this brought tears to my eyes. Well done, thank you!!!

  • God bless our military past and present. Thank you for keeping me free.

  • Laughter and tears. This is the best! My family is split down the middle Army vs. Navy. I can't wait to show this to them! All of the rivalry between services goes away when someone needs a hand!

  • My mother showed this to me today, my dad is a veteran from the Air Force who won the Distinguished Flying Cross in Vietnam War. I have never been any good, but thankfully there are some who are, thank you to all the veterans on this Memorial Day.

  • I love this video! It's cute and bittersweet! I think I was a soldier in my past life! LOL

  • This is a brilliant film. I share it with my friends every Veterans Day and Memorial Day. Thank you to all that serve and have served.

I too had Tears in my Eyes as I watched this. WAC RN 69-71 12th Med. DaNang, VietNam .

To All who have served: Thank You!

  • Well I like other have a tear in my eye after watching this ,, my grandfather was a Navy man and was in pearl harbor when it was attacked , My father was a US ARMY man in the 25th Div stationed at pearl harbor when it was attacked , and spent the next 4 years in the pacific , I am a US ARMY man and now retired , it does my heart good to see the respect that is given once again to our men and woman serving in today's Military ,thanks for the video .

  • the short film was awesome!!!! as an ARMY vet i take pride in my service. thank you for making this film and thanks to all my brothers and sisters no matter what branch they served in. GO ARMY HOOYAH!!!!

  • Very well portrayed in honoring a veteran. That flag means so much to a veteran, as well as a Patriotic American, for it is the veterans who remember why we still fly the Red, White and Blue! Recommend everyone see this film! Hoo-ahh!

  • Time to get a tissue! Very heartwarming film.

  • Is this the guy who is being asked to remove the flagpole, because he lives in an association? I hope he gets to keep it!

  • GREAT video. I had to get a PUFFS tissue. Good example of how we serve under different military branches and kid with each other about it, but when it comes down to it, we're all brothers and sisters under one flag. Keep up the good work and God Bless America.

  • That is awesome, excellent job. Kind of reminds me of my buddy Terrance that I used to work with. I'm former Army and he is former Air Force, we used to go back and forth with each other much like the two men in this story. I served my country during peace, God Bless those that fight over seas!

  • I love a man in a uniform. thanks, gentlemen.

  • Would not take any thing for going to Vietnam I am 67 years old 100% disabled vet the ones I served with in Vietnam are comeing back together. God bless all.

  • A very sad ending, but whats most important is to truly honor our veterans.

  • This video kick my ass.......I love it so much.......I cried because I am a vet and I fly my flag with pride at my house.

  • @caddop22 So did my Dad when he was alive,Staff Seargent John H. O"Neill.

  • This is classic, either way Old Glory will fly..........

  • God's speed.

  • outlawdelta

Did you train at Leonard Wood?

  • We all stand behind each other. After 9/11 the mood changed to beat all hell, no more rivalry. We came together as a Troops and made it happen...........U.S. Army SGT Ken HOOAH!!

  • I never get tired of watching this, and it never fails to bring tears to my eyes!

To all who served or have served - THANK YOU.

ALL GAVE SOME - SOME GAVE ALL.

  • This is a wonderful tribute to all the men and women who have served our country in the Armed Services.

My Father was at Pearl Harbor, Korea where he was wounded and continued onward to Vietnam and to this day lives on in this great world of ours.

God Bless all of them. And yes i served my 4 years as a Medic in the Air Force.

  • James McEachin served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was wounded in an ambush and left for dead. McEachin was one of only two soldiers to survive the ambush. He was awarded both the Purple Heart and Silver Star in 2005 after McEachin participated in a Veterans History Project interview in which they discovered McEachin had no copies of his own military records. Dreier's office quickly traced the records and awarded him all seven of his medals, fifty years after his service.

  • Fabulous. Thanks for putting things into perspective. Thanks to all who have served and currently serving.

    US ARMY 1991-2001.

    Sappers Forward!!

  • This USN Vet salutes all servicemen & women; past, present & future!

    God bless the Troops!

Thanks for an awesome share :)

  • That was so great. As servicemen we all believe our own branch is the best, that's Loyalty. We joke, brag, and boast how much greater we are then the others.

    That's Pride

But in the end, we will back each other to the wall, for that is what one does for his brother.

    That's Honor.

    Thank you for posting.

    A Proud US Navy Veteran!

    *****

  • @TunesNorth You are so true about what you have said here about each branch bragging, joking, etc, but end the end backing one another.

My father was a vietnam vet and my brother served in the Military as well.

I can not begin to thank the people enough that have served in the Military.

America is standing proud, free, and well protected because of you ALL! THANK YOU! I am sedning a link to my brother as I want him to see this. I know he will appreciate the video as well.

  • @TunesNorth

    Leave NO man behind!!

  • @TunesNorth

Your comment is so true. I love it and thank you for saying that. I can tell you many stories of crap that happened in the Army. But 9/11 changed everything.........Peace be with you Brother

  • A well thought-out short film with humor and sentimentality.

  • Loved it and agree with Monster & Marine!! Thanks to all our vets especially my Uncle Max, Henry, David and Richard - Cousin Eric and brother Justin.

  • that was a great film. really hit me in all of the right places. whoever made it, God bless you. and all veterns of the US Service.

  • aww...that was a funny short, good ending. bit sad though. great music

  • i notice in the credits it said "airforce man" i dont recall seeing him in it...

  • They probably shot more footage and a longer film and then had to shorten it.

  • Ouch, the ending was a tear jerker. Anyway Great short!!!

    SEMPER FI!

  • What a tribute to the men and women that have served this country! I just forwarded this video to my Grandfather (USN), my Father (USA), my Brother-in-law (USA). I myself was USN.

I would challenge any vet to watch this and not laugh at the service rivalry. I would then challenge them to not get choked up.

I actually heard about this video on the Veterans' Chronicles Podcast (look it up on iTunes!!) Amazing interviews the Vets from WWII to today.

    God Bless.

    Thanks for your service!

  • Thanks

  • -salute-

    job well done guys.

  • I normally do not waste my time with arrogant a**holes like you but if it were not for our veterans, this country would not be free and you, certainly, would not have the 1st ammendment to hide behind to make such a rude and negative comment. You, sir / madam, are NO gentleman or lady!!!!!!!! And, if you do not know what that is, the 1st amendment give you the freedom of speech, a**hole!!!!!!

  • U R AN A**HOLE. SHAME ON U!!!!

  • Our nation's warriors are many and ever on our mind. That's why this video is so powerful. . .wordless because words would have blocked the way of the images and memories they evoke as they made their way to our heart.

May there be an end to armed conflict but that begins with heeding the Wounded One's instruction: "Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us."

Safe to say, it continues and ends when we end the war against our own unborn Americans.

  • What a wonderful comment.

  • Thx!

  • I from Chile. beautiful short film, very emotional.

    Always be on the memories

    Bye!

  • Great Short Film!

  • This is a tear-jerker.

I felt so proud to have served honorably for 22 years and seven months in the U.S. Navy. Go Navy!

  • OMG, what a wonderful film. Had me bawling my eyes out. I'm sending this to my husband so he can see it as well.

My husband served 20+ years in the US Navy! He was a bubblehead. (submariner) I'm so proud of him and others who have served our wonderful country.

  • WHAT A PITY BOTH THESE GUYS DIDN'T MAKE THE EFFORT TO GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER BETTER WHEN THEY WERE BOTH ALIVE.

All you need is love (Lennon & McCartney)

  • You read my mind.

I've proudly worn Air Force blue for 21 years (and counting). I've razzed the other services, & taken it when they razzed me back over the years. You know what? No matter where I go, or who I meet, I have common ground with other vets & I love & respect every one of them like a brother or sister.

Lets be sure our young soldiers/Marines/seamen/airmen are taken care of. They have earned it.

  • Nothing more needs to be said

  • Damm Good. Jim U.S. Army

  • Another Army vet here, and dammit I thought I would get through this Memorial Day without any eyes leakin..

  • This is brilliant. I try to share it every Memorial Day. Not a spoken word - but, it says so much. Thank you to all of those that have served and are protecting us now.

  • beautiful. God Bless the U.S.A.

  • Hits me too, every time, Army vet. Air Force vet, here. Interservice rivalry aside, we are all compratriots in the end.

    Sir, yes Sir!

  • I've seen this a few times and it moves me each time. Army vet.

278th ACR, served in OIF III.

    I volunteer, Sir!

  • Retired USAF (1969-93) - this really got me choked up. God Bless America !

  • Goose bumps.

  • Who could not view this video and not cry for the men and women they knew who served or are serving for our country. It was beautiful. My father was a Sgt. Marine in WWII in the Pacific Islands, Frank V. Hurley.

  • Although not American, the language of age, service, hostility, the pognancy of memory and reconciliation was a universal language (a Stars n Stripes bedspread was a nice touch!). I salute the film makers. This weekend I will similarly salute ANZACs and their noble spirit. Lest We Forget.

  • I am a US Army Vet, Awsome video!! It made me cry!

  • my grandpa and uncle were both in the air force so i want thank both of them for their services

  • I want to thank my Grandpa...I love you and I hope your enjoying what God's bringing you up there...Thanks for being a good grandpa and also a great vetran

  • Honor To all vets! let them have a long and helthy life!

  • In the Actors section they list Navy Man, Army Man, and Air Force Man. Where was the Air Force Man? Figures the Army and Navy gets all the credit. LOL.

  • Amazing Video.

  • We lose so many of our veterans every day; I'm studying to be a high school US History teacher...I don't know what it will be like for my future students to grow up and not know men like my grandfathers who served in WWII...I think it is the responsibility of our generation to keep the stories and honor of our WWII, Korea, and Vietnam Veterans alive in the hearts of our children, because some day these vets will all be gone from us...,

  • Fantastic !!!!!

    Great Tribute to all...

  • Amen

    Submarines!

  • good stuff

  • Thanks.

  • In the credits it said there was an airman i didnt see him

  • there were two air force in the credits

    Emily L. Walters, Air Force

    Richard L. Alto, Air Force

    Armando Arvizu, Air Force

    Antonio Arvizu, Air Force

    top middle bottom, respectively

  • This clip although very short shows the meaning of being an American. Now-a-days we American's focus on the things in life that don't matter. We have rivalry and hate from everything to sports teams and music to military branches and skin color. This short video shows where America has come throughout her time. It shows that we are all Americans dispute differances, color of skin, backgrounds, and ideas. God Bless all Americans and God Bless all our men and women in the service, current or late.

  • Priceless!

  • A "Veteran" -- whether active duty, discharged, retired, or reserve -- is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to "The United States of America," for an amount of "up to, and including his life."

  • AMEN BROTHER!!

  • Amen......

  • very nice ...

    very, very nice

  • Brought tears to this 68 year young Marine.

    Semper Fidelis.

  • nice job!

  • Wow! This video was wonderful, the actors were awesome. Thank you to all our veterans!

  • Beautifully done. Message simply yet effectively came through loud & clear. The love of our nation & her flag (colors) is indeed something which remains & forever will remain in our hearts, souls & minds. We will protect & love her with pride & honor until we draw our last breath. God Bless The USA!

A family who is PROUD to say "I am an American". Semper Fidelis USMC - United States Marine Corps . God Bless ALL our troops!

  • *salutes*

  • I do this everyday in my neighborhood. There are five guys not counting me, do the samething. I am a former Marine 3 tours of Iraqi Freedom, two Army, and one Navy, and one Air Force. We do put on our uniforms and show off what ranks and medals we have. We still look out each other.

  • i just found this video today on veterans day and it moved me alot..Thank You to all that stand up and say "Dont worry..ill keep you free." No words could ever truly state the importance of people like you in our everyday lives

  • Dear U.S. Veterans: From the bottom of my heart, I say "THANK YOU!" and may God bless you richly for all that you've done for us. You've made so many sacrifices and none of them were in vain. We love you dearly and we owe you everything. As a nation and a people, we would be nothing without you. I humbly salute you.

  • I'm Air Force and former Army. My wife is still Army. We have our own rivalry:)

  • You do not deserve to live, and yet veterans fought and died to protect your ass.

  • no soldiers fought and died, veterans live and will live with pain and horror

  • I respectfully disagree since men and woman do fight and die sometimes. Preferably live though. Sorry, but the truth is you are unrealistic.

  • do you speak english? When soldiers live they are called veterans, when soldiers die they're called body count.

  • So what you are saying is that the soldiers that died in battle do not have the honor of being veterans? Body count if they die, maybe, but still, they were veterans, and that is what matters. To me they had the honor of serving their country, and that makes them veterans.

Are not soldiers honored if they happen to die in battle? They died so we could live. In fact we owe to their families.

  • I'm not arguing about honor I'm arguing about WORDING. If someone is dead they cannot be a veteran because they did not live.

Hence when soldiers live they're called veterans and when they don't they're called corpses.

  • So they are corpses. Agreed, however, in my opinion their spirits live on, and their courage inspires others, does it not?

I happen to be a veteran, are you? One should not take away anything from those who gave their lives in battle. If a person takes anything away from the dignity of a soldier, live or dead, that person to me is a bit of a wanker. Enough of the semantics.

The bottom line is either you are for or against those who served in the military. What will it be, mate?

  • Dude just let it go he's right veterans are the one's who survived. Just because they didn't survive it doesn't mean they lose their dignity or the other stuff your saying. If fact they get more respect than the ones who survived. BTW I'm also a veteran

  • OK. brother, I shall let him go because you asked me to, but frankly, I served as my Dad served, and his Dad before him.

To me any person who served live or dead is or was a veteran. Their spirit remains with us.

You are in or from the Philippines? I have family there.

  • You are an absolute idiot. Of course, Veterans like me me helped preserve your right to speak your mind!

  • The ability to walk freely on the streets of America, and many other countries, is due to more than one Veteran. Show some respect.

  • excuse me, I have not shown anything but a lot of respect for veterans.

I guess your comment was meant for someone else, since we are probably on the same page if you are a veteran also.

  • if anybody knows of other videos on here as powerful and moving as this one please send me the link, this is breattaking, cant wait for the full movie.

  • search "Remember me" on youtube. that is also powerful

  • I think this is so great I just send to my friend thank you

  • this video is amazing it has a great message its funny and a reminder of what we have to be thankful for. to all vetrans i salute you. Thanks for keeping our country free.

  • This is a most needed and respected short video for this day and age people with no due regard to what goes on behind closed doors, persay, for there able to live and speak freely in this country! Well done and keep up the great work!

  • What a wonderful job. They managed to capture the spirit just right. In 9 minutes I laughed out loud and shed tears. What a touching video.

My grandfather, my father and I all served in the Navy on board aircraft carriers. How weird is that?

  • POWERFUL

  • thank you for posting this,

    semper fi

  • Thanks so much for sahring this for all to see. It is much appreciated.

Thank you to all veterans that have served in all of the freedom loving militaries of this world and made sacrifices for the greater good of the world.

  • this is a great video.

  • GREAT! sort of semper fi like i rally like the idea Pro America Pro father country

it is really a shame that poor man died in this movie it was kinda touching

    Greets from the Netherlands.

  • it's so Beautiful!

    greetings out of the Netherlands

ps. i didn't see the airforce man.

  • Five *****, and to the Veterans and those who wish they could be Veterans and those who support the troops, I salute you from Ireland!

For the "haters" they need to get an education. You think the servicemen and women are war mongers? Yeah, right. We fight and die to protect your ignorant asses so you can be free..

If you do not like veterans, you need to eat shit and die or get an education and wake the fuck up!!

  • i really agree with you. people that have never been in the military or had family in the military don't really get it.

im risking my life for people that i dont even know..some of you support us, some of you dont. for those of you that do, then thank you from the bottom of my heart. aand of course for the ones that dont care, i have no respect for you at all, but remember, im still fighting for you as well.

  • EXCELLENT comment. I definitely hear you, and thank you for doing what you do...and much respect. As for me, I was in the USAF 35 years ago protecting people, as well.

One may say veterans are a breed all their own. Class act. 5 *****

  • Much respect. I fought and had laughs with military personnel from the United States.

  • Oh beautiful, for spacious skies, for amber waves of grain. For purple mountains Majesty, above the fruited plain. America, America...God shed His Grace on thee, and crowned thy good, with brotherhood, from sea to shining sea.....

  • where is the short version? where they play reveille and all the old timers come sprawling out of their rooms?
