i cant get this thing to work. I get 0022 error code. I tried putting the orig.bin back and it works, but when install Xell it keeps on giving 3rrod with 0022 code... can i solder the resistors/diodes at the bottom of the motherboard? cause i seem to have lost all connection points on the front of the board.

I agree with sourceholder, data cable is the best! I used a reel of multi coloured ribbon cable, makes it alot easier too remember where to solder your points to.

I didn't need the diode lol but i did use 5 100ohm resistors to the pins on the LPT adapter just so i made sure i didnt short/or fuck anything up. Bare in mind, the pc voltage and current is much greater than the 360 motherboard. Don't do this mod if your crap at soldering, because one or two of those eyelets were a right sod to solder. Anyway, i managed to get my REAL dvdkey using this hack on my version one XENON board.

Use an old floppy or IDE cable. Or, go to Digikey and search for "flat ribbon".

as long as you dont have the summer update 8xxx if your kernel number is 7xxx then your fine

Actually even with the summer update, if you use the FreeBOOT re-booter with a Cygnos v2 modchip and the INFECTUS 2 programmer you can force the console to boot into a venerable kernal, thus allowing you to boot xell and linux.

no you cant as the new update adds a new bootloader and will not let the kk exploit run

plus if u update to the new dash that will not let you run the exploit thus not use the rebooter how can you use the rebooter to help you downgrade with the cygnos and infectus

why do you need the infectus as the new cygnos has one built in

I think you'll find I have, the new update overwrites the 1BL stage of the bootloader its true, but I'm not speaking about running the KK exploit on a Non-venerable kernal, the FreeBoot re-booter allows you to re-boot the Xbox 360 into a venerable kernal stored on your Cygnos v2 modchip, the Infectus Programmer isn't necessary, but gives you more flexibility. Once you have booted into a vernerable kernal, stored on the on-board NAND chip of the Cygnos v2, you can run the KK Exploit and boot Xell

the xell and kk are the same thing just different ways of doing it

when you update to the nes dash it updates the bootloader so the exploit can not be run again even if you downgrade you can not run the 4xxx kernal so how are you to run unsigned code (freeboot) to do what you say any way

freeboot will let you run the new summer update via xell and not have to update you could be confused

how are you running freeboot on a console that will not run unsigned code and if this is ture why are you not releasing this to the public as no one els can do this part from you

nice job. i downgraded mine to 4532 so i could run the kk exploit. just copy your cpu key down and use it to decrypt your flash. i hate how it takes like 45 mins to flash the nand. lol
