I had a friend who was anorexic. She was the greatest, sweetest, funnest person. She had no reason to hate herself so much. It was so sad. I haven't seen her in a couple years. I hope she is okay. I wish she could feel beautiful.
um not wrong...just really disordered and not apt to work for 99.999% of the population...I don't know anyone who can be constantly sick by purging or in a chronic state of starvation that isn't unhappy.
also you just said you didn't have an ed so that's something to consider as well before going on about how ridiculous it is to think that somone is happy while starving themselves and puking/laxative/direutic abuse..its not in your experience.
please don't be so ignorant as to jumping into assumptions of me not having any experience. Before just 7 months ago, i had a real problem with ED's. I've been in and out of residental treatment, so i think that counts as first hand experience.
well my sincerest appologies then apparently u are the only person I've ever known to have recovered from an ed in 7 months considering that for the avg person it takes 7 yrs (for real do u want my source) and ok so u do have experience...I thought maybe u were just having a dumb moment now that we've refuted that I have no idea whats wrong with u but i'm sure something is
and i did point out that ur not wrong ur way of thinking just doesn't work for MOST ppl, I guess ur the .001 % it does
I think the malnutrition has already gotten to your brain...the whole IDEA behind anorexia is that you DON'T control...I for one would beg to differ that I EVER controlled my ed...I found that out quite quickly after having a tube shoved up my nose...
Ed are a way of coping...the weak minded don't get them...the weak minded die...its a creative albeit destructive way to cope
btw you ever consider that maybe you don't have anorexia just really bad eating habits?
I don't remember saying that it was...I'm just saying that by the time it is a full blown ed you don't control itby the time it is a "clinical eating disorder" you no longer control it. Disordered eating habbits altho not healthy are such that gernerally you can still function/control your life.
i don't have an ED but, i think it's pretty close-minded to think that everyone who is anorexic or bulimic and what not are 'sufferers'. i think eating 'disorders' and mental 'illnesses' are all BS.....just because there is someone out there who doesn't have the same thinking methods or morals as the majority, we automatically assume that they are 'disordered' or 'ill' and that's ridiculous! when ppl want something they get it the best way they know how to
Very well done! An excellent video. Keep going with recovery; it's worth it. No-one deserves to torture themselves, but that is what we basically do when we have anorexia. But when we think about it logically, how will losing weight, being thin, controlling our bodies and everything around us make us feel worthwhile? Anorexia is a false sense of security. Happiness is accepting ourselves, having friends and having fun - everything that anorexia doesn't bring us! Take care!
Thank you! Your video is so powerful; I'm genuinely moved. I agree with all of your points and I favorited so I can remind myself to appreciate where I came from. Anyone who has lived a similar hell is deserving of beautiful hapiness.
