  • jisne b ye upload kiya hai...superb yaar....itzz amazing...veryyy nice......

  • lots of thanks to you .. such wonderful voices...

  • @shads24 That is a fault on my side, I will do so, thanks.

  • Thank you Mirzaji, long may you live to keep up the excellent work!

  • Mirza saheb bahut badhiya.

  • Many thanks for this excellent selection which makes the raga really clear. The Lata number, "Na dhir dhim" is from a Soviet co-production film called "The Stranger", Hindi name "Pardesi" and the composer, A.R. Quraishi, is none other than Tabla Maestro Ustad Allarakha who used this name when composing for films.

  • @jasiddiqi - thank you for this interesting information.

  • congratulations imirza sahib. i am a 'classical buff' myself. you have filled 'youtube' with somuch great stuff that when i see your name, i must listen to the item. in my opinion you have added enormously to the enjoyment of thousands on 'youtube'. i wish i could spend at least a day or so in your company. zindabad!

  • Mirzaji I have subscribed to your channel! Brilliant work Bravo Thanks for these brilliant uploads! God Bless you!

  • Fabulous rare collection and so well preserved !

    BRAVO !

  • You are amazing Mirzaji!!!...Each of the raga introduction, the songs included...very nice...but what I am MOST AMAZED is the VERY rare photos that you have got...In this too the last photo of Mangeshkar sisters ( Lata, Meena, Asha and Usha) is so rare...Meena and Asha are still kids in this photo...Superb!!! I had not seen this photo anywhere,

  • Two songs missing from this collection the first Vanrag Bhatia's exquisite 'Shamsheer Barena' from Mandi and the other 'Wo dekhen to unki inayat' from Funtoosh.

  • it appears that not only will you entertain but educate us.

  • Wonderful that you got this song from Society. Do you have others from this film (Samajh gaye humto etc. ) Please upload.

  • Wonderful idea, each song is a gem what a beautiful way to tie them together. Thanks Mirzaji!

  • Anil Biswas was the most under-appreciated composer of his time. What a pity! As for raag SARANG -- there is a mention of sarang as a melody in the musical texts of the 16th and 17th centuries. Gaud itself is a much older and now obsolete raag. But the "Gaud" part means that sarang retains some of the old character of gaud one of which is the typical P/R slide.

  • Manna Dey, Lata, Asha, Geeta Dutt, Meena Kapoor and D.V. Paluskar, all in one clip doing variations of the same divine raga!

Gar Firdaus Bar Rue Zamin Ast, Hamin Asto Hamin Ast. ( "If there is paradise on earth, it is here, it is here."). I may be forgiven the use of this Farsi line here, first uttered in admiration of the Pearl Mosque in Delhi's Red Fort during the 17th century -- if I recall correctly. Thanks, Mirzaji.

  • Sorry, I omitted Ravi Shankar.

  • Mirza sahib, Where and how do you dig out these jewels?

  • and rest of the songs are gems too.....beautiful....is tarha se aap ager raag ka knowledg dete rahe to bada achaa lagega.

  • first song from movie humdard.....lyrics prem dhavan.....music anil biswas....this duet had 4 different raaga....sarang...malhar...jogiya and bahar..........excellent duet by lata ji and mannade.
