Performing on par with hypercars like the Enzo or Carrera GT is not bad for a Chevrolet grand touring car. If you want a hypercar go with the Saleen S7 TT or the SSC aero. They will keep up with anything short of something like a Noble or Ultima kit car.

The Vette has a respectable interior and good comfort.. while the Viper has cheap looking and feeling interior and much worse on gas, and actually slower.. I would put more faith in the LSX chevy engine as it has proved itself over the past decade. Vettes are a lot of fun to drive and streetable.

The Zr1 was not built for a drag strip. I assume that's what you are thinking. Zr1 has 638HP.

and a Z06 at 3130 pounds, the Z06 would still be faster. but a Zr1 is on a whole different level.you can build a cobra to loop around a track but it still wouldn't make the same class as a Corvette.

ill tell you why, the LS8 engine is not strong enough to support a super charger, thats why they are super charging the LS2 which is a stronger engine and can support a super charger, of course its not exactly a super charged LS2, they did some modies to it and call it the LS9.

The 7.0 is the LS7, there is no such thing as a LS8. The 7.0 had such thing walls around the cylinders due to its large displacement and could not handle large amounts of boost.

You are both wrong and right. There is no LS8 engine. The engine in the Z06 is called LS7. Neither are they super charging the LS2 engine, which was changed for the LS3 some years ago. The LS9 engine is a super charged version of the LS3 engine.
