  • THAT SHIT IS TIGHT WHERE CAN I GET THOSE FOG LIGHTS??

  • @ZEDNANREHIGH you can get these fogs from ebay. its where i got mine. instalation is easy as hell.

  • i should use male and female connectors for the wiring, it gives a nicer connection.

where did u buy the fogs from?

  • ok, that's better.

  • ghetto. why go threw your door like that. go in the fire wall. you have no sissors?

  • @jdwebbbear I did not realize there was a way to go through the firewall, its been fixed now. I'm going through the firewall. Its a much cleaner setup now.

  • QUESTION FOR YOU BRONTOE, I BOUGHT THE SAME LED FOG LIGHT SETUP FOR MY GTI AND IT HAS THE SAME SWITCH AND RELAY AND FUSE. ANYWAYS MY QUESTION IS: "WHAT IS THAT EXTRA RED WIRE USED FOR?"...NOT THE NEGATIVE AND POSITIVE BATTERY TERMINAL BUT THE LOOSE RED WIRE.

  • @stevensokheang

Typically, any red wire should go to the battery. If you have the same setup as me, the video should help. there should be 2 red wires going to the battery.

  • @brontoe

PERFECT!!!...I just watched the video again and saw the two red wires attached to the battery. Thanks! By the way, how are the lights working for you?

  • @stevensokheang

Good to hear. Oh i don't have them no more, i sold them. I can't use fogs and a front mount inter cooler. together.

  • @brontoe i have an extra red and black wire, the extra black wire has the terminal type thing, but the red is just cut...wtf?

  • how well are these LED fog lights holding up? how long did they last before the individual LEDs started burning out?

  • i sold them before i could do anything. and that glass cover is water proof and sealed tight from the outside air. LEDs will last longer anyhow.

  • Hey i heard that if you install fogs on the 1.8t's it blocks airflow to the intercooler and is not recommended, do you know anything about that ? or am i wrong ?

  • @sipahi61

yes, that is true if you are chipped. plus you want to install a front mount intercooler anyhow in the future.. the air block is very minor. Take off your wheel well cover if ur so concerned. that'll increase airflow.

  • @brontoe Thanks for the info

also you should film the fogs in action, during the night ;)

  • where do i purchase these lights?

  • @nba1341 ebay. Search LED foglights jetta

  • too much money? well, If you wish to sell it for a good price, please list it. 300's are easy to work on, unless you are trying to do something with the rear spark plugs. lol.

  • @walperstyle

selling it for 1200, I can't fix a head gasket and broken transmission. at the time i did not have any mechanical experience but a lead foot on the gas pedal. :)

  • Why work on that Jetta... turn around and work on that 300zx

  • @walperstyle LOL the 300zx isn't worth investing money into. I do not have the right tools to fix it myself. too much money! It isn't my car anyhow! its my dad's!

  • i have that same setup with the air filter in my jeep

  • Were you screwin with us when you said underneath the brakebooster? or does that path ACTUALLY lead to the interior of the car?

  • Its different in different jettas. Theres a rubber nipple somewhere around the brake booster. You can also use the vent where the windshield wiper is, i just made a hole in there. its just a PAIN in the asssssss to do. But it works. Its up to you what u choose to do.

  • dude thanks but....where does the rubber nipple lead too... i can guess that i will have to remove several panels...will it come underneath the steering wheel (above ur feet)?

  • I used a metal thin gold coat hanger. Taped the wire to the coat hanger, than stuck it down the rubber nipple. you can try inserting the red/black wire only without the coathanger. Just takes alot of patience and work.

Go underneath your steering column and start unscrewing. you may need to purchase a Torx screw set. Buy the set, trust me. you will need it in the future. The torx screws are the ones with the HOLE in the middle. They can be called Star keys too.

  • freakin thanks man!!!!...sure will....

  • Your welcome, also click on the website on the TOP RIGHT. the vwvortex . com one, i made that website as well. its just HID's

  • my friend robbie is so hot and bad ass! he's gonna do this for me ... and in return ill give him some BANG BANG BANG!!! LMAO!!!!!!!!!!

  • hahahaha dammmmmmm

  • Must be nice to get some appreciation! I want some BANG BANG! Lol.

  • WHAT?!?!??!!? what happen to the 300zx? cuz i just bought a 1991 and it needs like $10,00 of work but idc cuz its my fav. car in the world!!!!

  • psh, that car is a money grabber. Lets see, since i didn't know shizzz about cars back than, it needs, new engine, new radiator, timing belt, new brake pads and rotors, new transmission, new tires, and lots of Labor. other than that the body is in good shape, just a collectors item for now.

  • nice job. im trying to find to show me the install when the car doesnt have a factory location for the fog lights

  • should be the same type of install. when it comes to the wiring

  • yeah it was. video really helped me out. i just had to get creative with the physical placement of the lights since theres no factory location for them like there is on the vw. do you know anything about the HID lights?

  • yes i finally know something about HIDs once i get my HID kit in i will do a DIY for that. Actually, i think the HID kit is easier to install than the video i did here.

  • when it was at 3:22 i was looking at the white nissan 300zx on ur bumper lol

  • lmao, thats a hot car. too bad it kicked the butt!

  • Nice job there on the foglights.

  • ha, i tried to make it as easy as possible. its dummy proof. heh.

  • ya but if you go and use the headlights hot and ground do you neeed a new fuse and harness or do you need a new switch and relay

  • Nope. Just use the switch and relay that already comes with it. Don't make things more complicated than what they have to be. THEY are LEDs so u don't really need a relay or a fuse. The headlights already have a fuse.... IN your fuse box in ur car.

  • i conected to flasher to my bumper now only one corner stays on any idea

  • Are u sure the negative and positive are connected correctly? Double check your wiring. U may want to start over.

  • Even a loose wire will cause it not to light. Connect it again by twisting the wires . Than connect it professional if it works.

  • if i unplug one of my bumper flashers than it works and i tried a bigger fuse too

  • sounds like to me its not connecting, try making sure you have red and negatived connected correctly, hot wire with hot wire, ground wire with ground wire, make sure the connection is tight! and that the wires are touching

  • the all vlear ones like that...what are they called? are they plastic or glass?

  • Are u talking about the foglights or the headlights? Well, the foglights are glass, No name on them but i did buy them from hong kong. and the Headlights are plastic are the brand called Hella. Both were purchased off of ebay.

  • i dont under stand the relay harness and the clip you used for it. did the switch come with the fog lights . why cant you just splice the wires from your headlight hot and ground wires

  • Neither do i. But you better ask the seller if a relay harness and a switch comes with the product. It should be plug and play. Otherwise its just a waste of time. You can splice the wires from your headlights if you want. Its Optional.

  • increduble

  • hey where did u get those headlights?

  • Ebay!
