Where's the problem ? I mean in football, the three best french players all time were Kopa (from Poland), Platini (from Italy) and Zidane (from Algeria). But they played for France. Karabatic was born and raised in France. So he's french. So he's playing for France. There's nothing more to say !!!
Ah Nikola Karabtic, le meilleur joueur de l'équipe de France, le meilleur joueur du monde, c'est notre chouchou Français, et de plus, l'équipe de France est Champion Olympique et du Monde, ah ah Vive la France !!!!!!! && N. Karabtic 13
Raised in France and that's where he was taught his handball so that only feels right that he gives back sportively to the country's structure which developped him and made him love the sport.
i know this but as you can probably see i was referring to someone saying he is a serbian at heart. therefore i was asking this question which was, of course, rhetorical.
@Oualtaire His Croatian father taught him to play handball, first and foremost. His father was a professional Croatian handball player in the former Yugoslavia.
his german is amazing!!!!!no accent at all ...for being a french very very good!..and whats this question serbian, croatian..he is an amazing player..and of course he is french!!!!!!allez les bleus'
Womöglich hörst du keinen französischen Akzent, weil du in Österreich wohnst und man dort niemals Standarddeutsch zu hören bekommt. Ich, als in Deutschland lebender Mensch, höre sehr wohl den Akzent.
@theresa9023 Yeah his German is good, as is his English and Croatian too. Croats are very proficient in languages. Look at this video and listen to his Croatian father who immigrated to France at the age of 27. He speaks perfect French: Nikola Karabatic Best of Handball...On a side note, I think the female interviewer is wet in her pants from interviewing this handsome Croatian handball player who chose to play for France. Vive la Croatie. Go Nikola!
PLZ someone translate this interview...

After his match against Croatia we can pretty much verify he's a Serbian at heart.

Then tell me: Why did he choose the French team and not the Serbian?

Nikola Karabatic you are a serb!
Aleks33r 3 years ago
Nikola was born in Nis-current Serbia, but his parents are half croat half serb.
Plus he arrived in France at a very young age and that's where he first played handball.
The fact that he represents France is more than fair.
