You're more likely to get a Buckeye fan to slice his or her own eyeball than bash his or her own team. Whatever you may think of them, they usually stick with their football team through thick and thin. I don't remember too many Buckeye fans jumping ship during the 1999-2001 span where they were just awful or the 2004 season. Now USC fans, most of them were UCLA fans before 2002 or 2003.

@broad08530 Not a Buckeye fan, actually a fan of one of their big rivals, but making a neutral comment here. You're more likely to get a Buckeye fan to slice his or her own eyeball than bash his or her own team. Whatever you may think of them, they usually stick with their football team through thick and thin. I don't remember too many Buckeye fans jumping ship during the 1999-2001 span where they were just awful or the 2004 season. Now USC fans, most of them were UCLA fans before 2002 or 2003.

I understand that, but c'mon now, let's be honest here. That being said, all teams have some "bad" fans that rub you the wrong way. It's one thing to be a diehard fan, but it's another to be so dillusional. I'll admit as a Gator fan, I am somewhat dillusional and arrogant, and do some "rubbing it in" but I will admit it (I try to at least!). I've bashed the gators (especially their D after the Bama game). Oh and great point on UCLA and U$C, that one was good!

@broad08530 Yeah, I know what you mean, I'm a Penn State fan and some of my own team's fans rub me the wrong way. I try to be realistic in predicting what'll happen, and I actually err on the side of pessimism more often than not. Two exceptions: 2008 and 2009 I had Penn State at least going to the Rose Bowl (I wasn't that far off), but this up and coming year it's back to pessimism, I expect my Nittany Lions to go 4-8 (1-7). God I hope I'm wrong on that prediction, but no QB, gutted defense.

Wow, you are pessimstic. I could see 6-7 wins MIN, but dang I don't think they'll be that bad. BTW, Beaver stadium is a hell of a nice place to watch a game. i went to the Michigan PSU game back in 2008 (46-17) and while the game sucked, it was a nice place to watch FB.

@broad08530 I hope you're right, I see 6 wins maximum, maybe 6-6 (3-5) if PSU is really lucky, but 2-10 (0-8) is the worst PSU will do, so I split the difference and say 4-8 (1-7). I agree that Beaver Stadium is a wonderful place to watch a game, but I personally thought the 46-17 massacre of Michigan was one of the greatest games I'd seen, not so much because of the score, but because the entire sixty minutes of pain dealt to Michigan was like taking out nine years of frustration in one night.

First of all, if you read the post correctly, I am not a michigan fan, but in any case, you may be right with the possble penalties to UM. That being said, OSU can win the next 10 games (or more) vs UM, it still doesn't hide the fact that their football team isn't that great right now, their fanbase is a bunch of pompous jerks (I live in MI, and I deal with quite a few arsehole OSU fans at times), and can't win the "big game".

hey OSUjunki, we actually lead the series from 1927 on and it's tied from 1926 on. Also, if we beat them next year we'll be able to say the series is tied from 1919 on, (the year we got our first win against them). They went 13-0-2 in the first 15 games in this series, and their lead in the series is currently 14 games)

Actually, they don't play Toledo this year. They do play two MAC teams though: Western Michigan and Central Michigan. We get to play Toledo this year and show those losers up north how to beat them. Mi-shit-gan must be desperate for QB's if they're willing to give Greg Paulus a chance for the QB spot.
