Can't believe I actually saw The Cult there just before it closed. It's on the board behind him showing the dates they played and on the hoarding outside. I was sixteen. Awesome gig.
I saw loads of great rock and metal bands here. I was so gutted when it closed as a music venue I swore I would never go to see a film there and I never have.
Bev Bevan was not in the Who, he was drummer with Move, the manager interviewed was Chris Mott, not Chris Dodds as stated. Go West was the last gig to play the Odeon.
Trying to get it's reputation back as a cinema?!?! It's probably the worst cinema on earth.

Yeah.
I was shocked when this place closed.
I saw loads of bands and artists there.
Unforgettable venue.
When I walk past it now, all the memories come back.
I have never been to the NEC to see a concert and never will. Birmingham Odeon RIP.
