I love Huey Lewis. I thought the Timothy B Schmit version's brilliant too. Whatever happened to great singers? These days we only hear Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga and Rihanna on the radio and they are god awful.
Was in a high school band and one of the guys invited this guy, Chris, to come jam with us one day. He came back a few times and methinks: "This guy is way good, he's gonna make it." Ran into him years later ('81-2??) at a restaurant on Fillmore (SF). Talked with him, asked him what he was doing. "We're gigging down at Kabuki." (a few blocks away). Cool. Driving home, on the marquee "Huey Lewis and the News" Awesome. Chris Hayes, guitarist/vocalist. My brush with fame! Laff!!
if you really want to laugh and appreciate great harmony, click on the Us5 to the right. They are a got awful boy band. They are off key, and they get the words wrong. They have no musical ability whatsoever but, they are funny as hell.
I seen Huey in Concert down here in South Florida back in the early 90's and at the Gulfstream Race Track and He Was Awesome ! Great song he performs here and thanks for posting my friend ! Thumbs Up Huey !
thanks 4 posting - i finally saw HL @ busch gardens last year - they sung this tune then as well 25+ years later... i was very impressed - it wasn't a carbon copy - one's voice does change after that long, but still nailed it... later last year in st pete, they were a little off their game for most songs - but hey, can't always have a perfect performance every time.
Saw them last night at Cape Cod Melody Tent in Hyannis, Mass. They did this song and just nailed it. He is 60 years old going on 25 in terms of energy. Great performance from the entire band. Total pros. Huey's a great showman, and these guys have been underrated for years. This was our first time seeing them - and my wife and I are his age - but we'll definitely catch them next time around.
This band blew me away the first time i saw them. They were visiting Denmark for the first time and was being interwiewd on the News (haha). Instead of playing a video like most bands did they sang "Naturally" acapella in the studio. I was sold from that moment. :D Then off course that Album became the music me and my future wife danced to and that enhances my memories.
@jhbthreerd haha yah, just saw them perform!!! It was amazing that after all these years they are still SO GOOD. A clear tribute to their ability as a REAL group, not a group the studio has to polish up.
Guys help me... i love this song, but i remembered another song which sounded or maybe is the same title as this song...with a little faster beat, but still very classical... help?
Totally agree daltz5. This was called harm-o-nizing, with real singing voices! NOT the crap on radio today, other than the very few musicians who really DO have some talent!
As we stroll along together Holding hands, walking all alone So in love are we two That we don't know what to do So in love In a world of our own As we stroll by the sea together Under stars twinkling high above So in love are we two No one else but me and you So in love So much in love So in love So much in love
I like Timothy B Schmit more
