Accent adds to ones personality and for a show like 24 one needs to have an accent so that the viewers worldwide can understand what hes speaking.

Season 8, is one of the unique seasons, started slow and after the death of Walker things started to move damn FAST. Anil Kapoor, had a long good history in Indian movie industry, thats why he did amazingly good. Its a lose that we will not see 24 anymore on TV, hope that 24 in movies will be as good. @abhinav87 Completely shocked as well. It gives you so much assurance and you feel like they are going to save him. Then you find out he died. My heart just dipped. I felt so sorry and I felt so sad especially when Jack closed his eyelids and said "I'm sorry". The music was sad and the silent clock went on after that. The whole scene was sad. I stood up and felt dizy and shocked. This was sadder than the Chapple and Palmer death scenes.

I am not sure I like the idea of an Indian actor playing a Muslim.

I think they should use a real Muslim, just like blacks were used in sitcoms in the 70s.

That way people won't think anyone with the name Kapoor is actually Muslim, cause its not. Its Indian, most likely Hindu.

When its time to round up the Muslims and put them in concentration camps, I don't want Hindus grouped in with them.

There are many Muslims in India (i.e. one can be Muslim AND Indian), and in Indian cinema it is common for Muslims to play Hindus, or Hindus play Muslims, etc. This helps people understand that there is no difference - at the heart of human nature - between a Muslim and a Hindu. Ignorant people will continue to mix up names, and hate other people who they barely know on the basis of their race, religion or name. It is those kinds of people who need to be "rounded up".

he's hindu, plus there are muslim actors on 24, anil kapoor is big star it will helphaving asian people watch this show even more, even the ones who dont watch the show, tey will watch it because of him and top of that existing 24 fans, for example there alot fans in the uk that buys indian movies and the usa, they will probably buy season 8 of 24 because of anil kapoor, and these will be non-24 fans in a way
