This only applies on external jump drives that are plugged in. If you delete a file on a jump drive, eject it, then empty your trash, the file will still take up room on your jump drive.
I knew that, wow don't treat me like a dumb ass, I work with Computers all day, I have over 9 macs, I know what I am doing, But you can empty the trash while the mem stick is pluged
Thanks for the tip! Definitely a much easier way of "emptying the trash" from the jump drive then using terminal. And less steps involved then going thru disk utility. Thanks again.
I have no idea if it would work on 10.3. It might. But then again, it might not. The only way to find out is if you test it! (And tell me if it does(n't). I'd love to know.)
Hi! Your videos are really helpful, thanks so much for making them! I was wondering if you could tell me if there was a way that I could put videos I make on iMovie onto YouTube and/or on my iPod... please!!? Thanks!
Yes, you could empty your trash. But I don't like to delete my trash that often. And when I do, I go through and make sure that everything in there *is* trash.
How do you open that drop down box..?

For the iPod, just export it and select "iPod".
For YouTube, you'll have to experiment. But I usually convert my videos to Divx. But an iPod file might work. IDK for sure.

So more or less. The file goes in a trash can... Then you can empty the trash can... Uhmm Simple

But, for me, it's a hassle to empty my user trash can so often.

Actually... 103.3 - 40.3 = Roughly 160. :P
But thanks for the tip!

@Trioxeyed How so..? He said 103.3 + 40.3 should roughly be 143; and it's 143.6..
