Perry King actually isn't too bad in this. Han Solo would have been a little different, though, if he had been selected. Harrison Ford was the perfect choice.
Used to wonder why PK didn't become a star; had all the acting creds i.e. Yale/Julliard, classically handsome (that chiselled Jaw, long blonde hair falling into his blue eyes). Did a couple mini-series for NBC in 70's (Aspen / Captains & the Kings), and a silly detective show with Joe Penny, & later in less than stellar made-for-tv flics. Replaced Richard Gere in lead role for Lords of Flatbush ('73); making Gere wait a few more years before stardom hit. Had small role in "Big Love" recently
I think if Harrison hadn't gotten it the best person for the role of Han was Perry. He did the voice of Han in the Radio Dramas and really did a great job, IMO. So if Harrison had proven unavailable, I think Perry would have suited as Han Solo.
Charles Martin Smith as LUKE???? LOL!!!
