Desiree is singing and playing guitar. Usually the guitar player just does backing vocals like Eddie VHalen does. So, Desiree's doing a pretty good job.
Great video. I think she's a great guitar player 4 her age. For some people there seems to be a problem with the word pentatonic. Read a music book sometime and there is a large vocabulary of words. Anywhere you play a note on a guitar you are going to be in some scale form. Pentatonic is a common one to learn. Anyway, Bassett plays very well and in some cases I think her fingers run a little more than Eddie's does. Both audiences seem to like her.

I'm from a good sized city and at 15 I can only recall 1, maybe 2, guys in my school that were that good. Most big time guitar players, Rock, Country, Blues or any of that, are just playing 90 to 95% pentatonic scales anyway. This girl may just take over where Bonnie Raitt leaves off and end up really rich cuz she's that good.

She's a student and an awesome player. As a teenager, handling and remembering songs/lyrics playing guitar and touring I think is incredible!
I am jealous (in a positive way.) Okay, her playing isn't (yet) cementing her name in the history books of jazz, flemenco, classical, blues or metal, but at 15 and being a girl, she's showing she's for real and deserves the attention and oppurtunity to be onstage with these pros. Her age is just a tiny bit of a novelty to me, but she's still worthy. Her stage presence isn't cheesy, typically-teen or over-demonstrative; just right--a big smile and a good time!
