  • If that never happens then they have maturity issues.

  • One day, when Twilight fans get out of training bras and their first period is a just memory long passed, they will say to themselves "WHAT THE FUCK WAS I THINKING?!".

  • Well put! I'm a big King fan as well. I haven't read any of the twilight books, so I won't comment on those either way. But I will say that you hit the nail on the head. I don't think King WANTS to be anymore famous than he is. Yes, he wants credit for his work(which is extensive), but it still probably nice to be able to walk down the street without being mobbed by a huge crowd of fans. That's more than can be said for edward or jacob...plus king is probably richer than Ed,Jake & Meyer combined

  • Stephenie Meyer can't write-i think i can do it better than she does. Her Twilight doesn't have anything,no plot,no charackter development- it's just a garbage.Stephen King and Annie Rice are lovely authors.

  • He said it perfectly, whether you like Harry Potter or not they're at least well written. Meyers books look like fan-fiction written by 14 year olds

  • Like a boss.

  • Harry Potter for Life haha

  • Last night we had an outside barbeque.....we were using twilight books to start the fire

  • I can't even read this shit because of that fucking horrible music. What the fuck is wrong with you? Agreeing with someone that someone sucks while playing fucktard's music like this? You have no right to this kinda opinion until you improve your musical taste.

  • @CroissantOrange You know, there is a mute button, if you don't like the music turn it of. Everyone has a right to an opion, regardless of musical taste, it's egoism like that that starts opprssive regeims and dictatorships. The belief that because someones opinion differs from your own it isn't worth anything, or because they like a certain music, maybe they have a certian religious belif whatever. Once you start down that road it's a slippery slope.

  • @D84Phoenix Yap yap yap. All pretty lies that people buy. Since when people have funny idea that taste doesn't say anything about your mind therefore your your judgments? Your like certain kind of music because like all art, it speaks to you and inspires you. Now you like shallow music and pretend like it has nothing to do with your credibility? Where's the logic in this? About the button: There's also the close comment button, if you don't like critics, use it. Like that?

  • Anne Rice is the Queen,

    Stephen King is the King

    JK Rowling is the princess

That's my thoughts on fictions literature right now, although I love Clive Barker, and Dan Brown also.

  • Stephen King = KING

    JK Rowling = QUEEN

Stephenie Meyer = A FAT SACK OF DOGS VOMIT

    CASE CLOSED!

  • There is a difference from being a "good" writer and being a "successful" writer. Meyer manages to sneeze out a story with bad characterization, storytelling and grammar, but it was popular. . The fact of the matter is, is that she doesn't have good talent in writing because she lacks the basic fundamentals of an author, she only had a popular subject matter and publishing skills.

  • Twilight sucks

  • Really, who gives a shit. Stephen King has fans and people who dont like his writing. Stephenie Meyer has fans and people who dont like her writing, its that simple. Their obviously both talented.

  • All Twitard who say that he's just jealous of her success, why didn't he criticize JKR then? She's had more success than Meyer.

Because he knows good books. His books are great, JKR's books are great, but Meyer's books aren't worth the paper they are printed on!!

  • @siridavidsen SK even listed JKR Books in his Book "On Writing". So he even likes them.

  • Stephen King's opinion is what I am trashing. I could care less about Meyer. Stephen King also said the Beatles are overrated. What gives him the right to say that. Because he had a two bit band..........Back to his books. I could care less about about his sentence structure. What is important to me is the creativity/content. Over half the books he wrote would not be published if he were an unknown author.

  • who ever did this, your'e a good and nice person, and keep up the good work <3

  • this is stupid...just like the author said...everyone like something. I like to read King he have a great books, but I like to read Meyers books too! You can't tell for anyone : 'he/she can't write' . Sure, Meyer CAN'T compare with King, he of course is better, but you can't tell for someone who sold so many books that can't write. At the end of the day, it's all about books, and books are all about fun, just have fun reading it and don't fight about it afterwords :)

  • Bottom line: King is a King and Meyer is a meat product, case closed

  • People who cannot take criticism simply annoy me. Stephen King has probably been criticized by people of a bias belief all books should end happily... Stephen King takes that sucure feeling people have when reading ANY book and shoves it straight up their asses... That's why he is an amazing author.... and always will be.

  • well said my friend!!!

  • Stephen king is always blunt and to the point and says what he felt

and the fact that he criticized stephenie meyer should be like a boon to her

getting even something like that from sucha great writer!!!!

  • In response to some of the comments, if I became a big time author, I wouldn't do it like she did. I wouldn't base my story off of an overused and quickly tiring trope that Anne Rice made famous and people piggybacked off of her. But more to the point: I would be absolutely freaking flattered if Stephen King critiqued me, good or bad! Fact of the matter is, the guy CAN write, he can describe, he can make you terrified out of your wits. If he even acknowledged something I wrote, I'd be flattered!

  • i read twilight, i hated it! it seemed like i was reading the same shit in every chapter, how edward smelled good and to be honest i didn't even finish reading it cause it was pathetic! this is my honest opinion if you don't like it fuck off, don't bother replying back!

  • I LOVE Steven King, Anne Rice, V.C. Andrews, Bentley Little is my absolute favorite at the moment, Kelly Armstrong and I even Love the Twilight series by Stefanie Meyer. What I don't understand, is why Steven King bothered to say anything about the writing of Stephanie Meyer. I agree with him whole heartily, she not the best literary writer out there, but her story was fun and very well put together. Isn't that what reading is all about, not just the language, but the story itself?

  • Anyways Not even Stephenie Meyer herself stood up and fought what he said for the simple fact that they are both adults and can take critisism only immature fans would fight for a book when they probably have no idea what good literature is.

  • Thank you! Besides that woman should have done her research b4 she opened her damn mouth. Stephen King is a VERY Versatile writer. Just because he mostly writes horror books it doesn't mean that he can only write that unlike Stephanie Meyer who has written 5 books all about fiction. People should take a lesson from this, No two people have the same tastes even if they work in the same industry.

  • I've never read Meyer so I can't have an opinion but I sure do hate Meyer lovers!

  • I am 21 and have been a Stephen King fan since I was 12. His books are some of the best written. Want to see a greatly written vampire novel? Check out Salems Lot.

  • guys, i'm a huge fan of stephen king, but i like twilight, too. I like the IDEA of twilight, but the writing sucks.

  • 34 people Sparkle in sunlight.

  • Hail to the King!

  • so i am at :36 and I had to read this a few times to make sure i understood. I am legend was a great book but Will Smith was not in it. We was in the movie I Am Legand but i wasn't in the book and just cause Smith was in the movie really doesn't mean that the book was good the book and the movie are not really the same at all.

  • Okay, if you want a REAL vampire book, read Salem's Lot. Or Dracula. Both great books.

  • Writers have to be able to take criticism, and learn from it. That's how they become BETTER WRITERS. Obviously, Stephenie Meyer does not know this.

  • @MyLadyGreensleeves77 She's not interested in becoming a 'better writer' she's not interested in the 'craft of writing' her writing is self indulgent, she says so herself. I don't think any amount of criticism is going to change that, especially since she has a legion of fangirls. IMO, she's a soccer mom who won the lottery, there's nothing wrong with that, and I'm not going to fault her for it, these same girls read 'shipping fanfiction' she's a product of internet age ignorance. INTEOTW

  • @MyLadyGreensleeves77 I agree hahahahahahaha!

  • I could fel by brain leaking as I attempted to read the sad excuse for a book Twilight. I quickly pawned it off, but now I wish I had burned it. And the worst part is, Smeyer left a huge smear on vampire folklore that I'm afraid will never go away. Poor vampires. :(

  • Oooh was that lady you mentioned Nuttymadam3575?

  • You only get haters if you have talent.

So, all those people who dislike Twilight and Stephanie Meyer aren't haters. They are just right.

  • I'm jealous of Stephen King, and I have no problem admitting that. I would love to write the sort of books he does, and I doubt I ever will. Not just because he stole (yeah that's a joke) all the best ideas (grin) but because I don't have the work ethic he does. The man is literally obsessed with his work and writing. I am an apathetic kind of person in general, but SK is obsessed and a power house. So yeah, I am jealous of him. But King being jealous of Meyer? For what, exactly?

  • I can' t even put Twilight down because I never cared enough about it to bother picking it up and reading any of it. What I heard from gushing fans (and what I saw from the movie adaptations) turned me off. I think some of S.K.'s stories are kind of lame and I love Stephen King's stuff generally. The ""sad" fact is that even people with talent don't always reach their potential, so what's so sad about dissing Meyer when she wrote the Twilight books to make money? Sheesh.

  • All I can say is that for me, Stephanie Meyer is simply not entertaining. This might be because her characters are two dimensional, her plot lines absurd, her style is formulaic, her powers of description are less than interesting and she is a terrible story teller. I attempted to read Twilight (seriously) and I made it to page 27 before I tossed it into the fire. But, this was probably because I'm just not sophisticated enough to recognize her genius.

  • the King of all Authors finally speaks against the trash that is Twilight...epic XD

  • King is a God. I love him. Been reading his books since I was 11. He brings happiness.

  • lord of the rings is even better than the twilight saga the hobbit is also way better than the twilight saga at least authors like stephen king c s lewis j k rowling eap hp lovecraft mark twain j r r tolkien write way better books than stephenie meyer

  • /watch?v=zb72V_4N5ko&feature=related

    That's all I'm saying.

  • Seems odd to criticise Meyer really. She created something she wanted to, she latched onto a popular genre and made millions. Quality withstanding, i think she's pretty smart.

Twilight is garbage of course, the writing is consistently repetitive and the plot could've been lifted from many number of clan vs clan fantasies. But Meyer doesn't deserve the criticism as much as the moronic fans do.

It's the same with any artform in the modern era. Its why s*** music is played on the radio.

  • @Hunsfun i agree with you partly, but i would just like to say that Twilight wasn't stephenie meyers story to begin with. All she did was change the Vampire Diaries a tiny bit..

  • I read twilight half way through. Stopped at the point when vampires shine like a diamond in the sun. . . What-the-fuck!? Then he was going to give her a piggy back ride. I laughed really hard, closed the book, and didn't pick it back up.

I could barely read the book with the way she wrote. I get picky when it comes to writing, and she completely sucked cock.

  • It is said that if you had 1,000 monkeys sat at type writers typing for infinity, they could eventually produce the works of Shakespeare.

However, if you had a retarded monkey sat at a type writer typing for 3 days...well, it would be better than Twilight.

  • *clapclapclap* That was awesome.

  • LOl I cant believe ANYONE would take Meyers over King that in and of it self is a joke ...

  • King was a fool to waste his time bothering. He has success. Why would he begrudge another writer also achieving success? The market is large enough for many writers to be successful, so what possible concern is it of his?

  • @JeffersonDinedAlone that it sucks, and overrated to be such a well know book now.

  • I admit I've been a fan of Twilight since teh book and movie came out..I was immediately hooked. But, I agree with everything you said here. :3 Stephanie Meyer isn't the BEST writer in the world. There are many others out there. Stephen King is one of them. x3

  • @Evilvamp100 *the

  • 10 points to Stephen King!

  • Here's something twisted: amazon.com/Dish-Served-Tales-Revenge-ebook/dp/B004W82MCK/ref=sr_1_2?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1307730513&sr=1-2

  • Stephanie Meyer gave us Edward Cullen, a vegetarian Vampire that sports a beige jacket and a polo neck.

Stephen King gave us Kurt Barlow, the mastermind Vampire leader in 'Salem's Lot, who feasts on Humans.

King terrified us with images of what Vampires really are. Meyer terrified us with how important a boyfriend is

  • @EoinByrneMusic Major clue for you, Skippy; vampires aren't really anything.

  • Im not much for the Twilight Series, nor did I care too much for the movies. Mebbe I'm more of an 'old time' vampire genre than yuppie daylight enjoyin, animal blood suckin' types. Though, I have to say having said all that, that there is something about Alice that I really liked. I'd like to send that character and the actress who played her over into a more serious type vampire movie. :) (P.s. Stephen King rules!)

  • speak the truth man!!!

    stephen king rules!

  • FIrst, I am NOT a Twilight fan for the fact that I'm not a 14 year old girl. That said, Stephen King has been selling his blurb-endorsements to other authors for years and considering how awful many (most) of the recipients are, I think he's lost the credibility to criticize a series that has sold millions in its own right and been turned into a very successful series of films. And let's not forget how his own writing has plunged off the cliff since he ran out of ideas in the 80s.

  • @Archronis obviously havent read anything recent....

  • @devildog683 XD, you made me spit my cup of coffe out.

  • i agree with everything you say, except one - the things in stephen kings books could be real? um, the shining?

  • @shannonlovesbuble well the shinning was based on a real life experience that king and his family went through. They were staying at a hotel that would normally be closed for the holidays. So they were the only guests. The room mentioned in the novel was a real room they checked in and was rumored to be haunted. Dead Zone was based off a guy whom fell off a ladder and claimed his head injury made him psychic. Many of kings stories are scary because, it might happen to someone you know.

  • JK ROWLING AND STEPHEN KING ARE THE BEST!

  • Dr Seuss is better than Steven, Stephanie or Svetlana - a name that popped into my head while type S names.

Has anyone ever met a Svetlana?

It's usually the name of the girl you TELL your ex-GF that you're now dating.

You usually "meet" her in some overseas country.

Svetlana never gets a chance to meet you parents either.

  • The woman you reference in your video seems to have one core problem. She has to push her opinion on others, but people actually -want- to know Stephen King's opinion, because he's an established and respected author. If she can't accept that those who actually know something about writing consider Meyer a hack, then she can take her -uninformed- opinion and cry in a corner.

  • I want my vampires to be badass again, not sparkly!

  • what i think about ppl who like twilight is that there are two sorts of ppl sluts and people who believe that love conquers all and all that bullshit sluts because these women like to fanticise about attractive men rather than get any sort of plot and the other because theyre just retarded teenagers

  • Stephen King trying to gain popularity is like water trying to become wetter

    The guy writes anything & they pre-print '#1 Best-seller' on the cover--it's a lock

Is all his stuff great or even good-hell no, but 'riding Meyer's coattails' . Negro please

In fairness, King even criticizes HIMSELF, calling some of his books, laconically, 'uhhh...not my best work...'

  • @PorkFrog

"Negro please."? :) Just from that one little phrase, I got a flash of all those memories of living in the Dirty South. Nice job man.

  • I have a degree in literature and used to teach literature.King has masterfully moved between genres throughout his forty year career and his fifty plus novels. He is as insightful today as always. He grounds the fantastic in reality in a way no one else can that. Meyer destroyed the vampire by turning them into, unthreatening , whining kids who sparkle .In my opinion I would not use any of her books to wipe my ass. why wipe with something that has more shit on it than your ass

  • @TheKit1978 Your comment, needs more thumbs up.

  • @Annieogirl

    thanks

  • @TheKit1978 You have a degree in literature? Then you have all of the prerequisites to become a competent custodian.

  • Very nicely put.

  • The music kept me from finishing this...unbearable...

  • you fucking teens deserve to be destroyed with impunity

  • Stephen King books have alot more to them . twilight is just like someone took a shit on paper and called it a book.

  • i admit that i read twilight and i enjoyed it. i was a fan from april 2009 until september same year but i got over it. i love reading more than anythyng in the world *except for a ono-on-one certain action*. i adore mr. king and his work, even if i didn´t get a chance to put my paws on a book since october 2010*damn work arghh*.my favs are "carrie", "the cell" and "salem´s lot". and i like harry potter, i grew up with it (i was 10 years old whwn the first movie was released) peace girl

  • What about Clive barker?

  • I agree with Stephen King! Stephenie Meyer can not write books! I read several books by Stephen King, he is a WRITER! In comparison I started reading Twilight, but I stopped at page 75, so that the book is boring! In short, she can not write the book, their stories are mushy, boring! Stephen King is FUCK!

  • Comment removed

  • @highguy9900 'Salem's lot had no teenage boy vampire in love with the teenage girl. It was more bloke meet the girl of his dreams, she gets bitten, and he drives a stake through her chest. Vampires in 'Salem's lot want to tear your throat out, not cuddle you and buy you tampons.

  • @highguy9900 you are wrong, i had read salems lot theres nothing like it anywere

  • It also really blows my mind how someone can be uneducated enough to think that Meyer is the "best author in the world". If you really, truly think that, then you are literature-retarded and should really take the time to read other works by well-known authors from the past...perhaps Shakespeare or Homer?

  • The thing is...Stephen King actually knows how to write with skill. Stephanie Meyer, on the other hand, thinks loading fifteen adjectives into every sentence makes a good book. "His pale eldritch marble beautiful shining cold soft seductive passionate lips", shit like that. Words that shouldn't even go together in a sentence. SK, on the other hand, knows what character development, description, and just general good story-telling really mean.

  • @LordtheShred

Not to mention, SK actually writes good vampires, that do not closely resemble faggots.

  • I think Stephanie Meyer can write and I have read Romeo and Juliet and I loved that too! I think it's a matter of opinion and we call like any author. The reason people link twilight and romeo and juliet is the unconditional love and also Meyer likes the play too that's why she links it in her writing!

  • Ew, Twilight.

  • It's amazing that like that stuff like Harry Potter and Twliight are so freaking popular that anything from authors like Stephen King are forgotten in today's world.

Now I know that isn't directly true but it makes you wonder why both those series are so well known.

Does anyone ever heard of The Dark Tower series that's been around for a long time now yet just recently it's going to be turn into movies, mini series and an TV show.

  • @JackRed666

    I like all three authors.

Yes, I'm A fan of Stephen King,Harry Potter and Twilight.

In that order, but I think each of the authors has something to offer.

  • Thank you for this. I would also like to point out to the naive person who banged on about Stephanie Meyer selling 40 million copies within a relatively short period of time vs SK 'taking years' to sell 35 million...internet, youtube, media, teen vampire phenomenon driven by the above. SK has earned his popularity, not jumped on the back of the Buffy bandwagon - which in itself was original and exceptional.

  • If Twilight fans didn't make statements unless they knew all the facts, they would never make any statements, because they know shit about absolutely nothing. Ever try to discuss literature with one? I once made a comment to a Twitard about the works of Fyodor Dostoevsky being amazing indicators of 19th century Russian political and social beliefs. They looked at me like I started talking backwards like the dwarf in "Twin Peaks", complete lack of comprehension mixed with some unease.

  • King was entirely correct, Stephenie Meyer simply can't write, Twitards who claim that she is the best writer in the world simply show their ignorance of what constitutes good writing, and equally their lack of reading quality literature of any sort. Their comparison of Twilight to Romeo & Juliet shows they haven't actually read the play and once again just how ignorant they are.

  • @MovieHeretic Damn straight. They don't know shit about romance novels, I know the dark series by Christine Feehan is a kickass series with vampires and they are waaaaaay hotter than what Meyers wrote about and in less pages :x

  • Roland from the dark tower would destroy any one of those glittery charachters from twiligt

  • roland would blow the brains out of every twilight character because he would probably think that they are all possesed by demons but they are just retarted

  • You don't fuck with the king mates!

  • Pennywise(It) from Stephen King's It will kick all of asses of Twilight Characters! Gaytic vampire Edward and homosexualitic werewolf Jacob and pussy fucking girl Bella never defeat Pennywise(It)!!

  • stewie griffin vs meyer "oh trust me woman if i could walk on watr i would hold your head under until the bubbles stopped!"

  • I'd like to hit Stephenie Meyer's head with Baseball Bat and yell "Twilight series are just ballshits!" She is a shit compared to Stephen King. I love his books. My best King's book is 'It'. ^ ^

  • SO FRIGGEN RIGHT!

  • Well she wrote The Host, which I hear is good, but I have not read it. I have not read any of the Twilight books and never ever plan too. I do plan to read every Stephen King, my favorite author, novel ever published though.

  • Amazing video. ^^ Love the song btw. =)

  • twilight is the biggest disgrace on the face of the earth. Stephen King has every right to criticize it.

  • @Amill91 not only that but Stephen King is known for multiple books. Meyer is known just for Twilight even though she did write another book. Closing Statement Meyer Sucks mine and many others opinions screw off.

  • @MrMatto91, I wrote a novel that's better than Twilight. I'd love to see what Stephen King would have to say about it.

  • @MrMatto91 I am definitely not a twilight fan and I do really enjoy a lot of Stephen King's work but isn't calling twilight "the biggest disgrace on the face of the earth" a bit over the top? It's worse than child abuse, genocide, torture, human rights violations and puppies being thrown from cars? Really? Nah. It just sucks.

  • @lexikalfanfic well biggest disgrace in writing is actually what i meant.

  • @MrMatto91 I wish Twilight was an accident. No, it was intentional. To make money. "How to write a novel which will make money: 1. follow the teen trends (when twilight came out vampires were starting to become big again!) 2. Write weak, "safe" emotionally "available" male characters so girls can day dream about being protected by...whoever. 3. Don't put anything taboo or over the top in your book, but put shit in that looks "taboo" to sheltered brats so they can pretend they are rebels. Bingo.

  • @lexikalfanfic Yeah, and then BANG! Everyone writes about vampires. BANG! They become best-sellers. BANG! Us, the others, are crying our eyes out because that, when we go in a library, what do you think we see? F**king vampires.

  • @teanicolae Uh, how are you an other? Twilight is crap. I was agreeing with the original poster, you realized that, right?

  • @lexikalfanfic Well yeah.

  • @lexikalfanfic What do you mean "how are you another"?I AM not one of those crazy fanatic girls, and I know Twilight is a crap.So I don't get what you are asking.Books are good in their own way,but bad books are bad in the same way-like all those "best-sellers"(not all of them,I have to agree, but most of them are bought by teens who are not really thinking). So please tell me what you mean,I am pretty confused.

  • realistically anyone who thinks meyer is a good writer is in the lower bracket of literacy and probably IQ. Stephen King is confirming what anyone moderately literate knows: meyers a shitty writer. how is she supposed to respond ? (she being the fat bitch who's angry- i didnt watch her video but i assume the picture at the front is her) She is being told, by the highest authority in this issue, that she is stupid and poorly read and she consumes garbage. the only thing she can say is "fuck you".

  • Obviously Stephen King can tell his opinion: He´s got a way longer career than Stephenie Meyer. The guy is one of the recognized writters from the past century and his books sell everywhere. When you hear "Horror book" you immediately picture "Stephen King" on the cover (If not Lovecraft). And his characters have structure and human reactions. Read "It", "Cujo", "Salem´s Lot", or his short stories.

And besides, he can manage plenty of characters. That´s difficult to do.

  • Twilight is not a book. It's an accident.

  • Stephen King is a genius how the fuck does he and stephfuckme meyer have the same job!

  • 27 people are Twilight fans who didn't even watch this video before they voted down.

  • @tarrus13

I'm not surprised. I won't bother to explain myself. I will say that Heart of Darkness while it's a big read for "the college scene" and overwrought students who want to seem intelligent; it over all is not a good book. Much like Twilight, there is no substance to the book, but those who want to seem in with a certain crowd, or subculture will read it.

  • @tarrus13 Vampires are monsters. You might as well say, "Well, I love war because I like to put up the image of being hardcore, but I can't stand all the violence and blood, so I'll read books about candy wars between gummi bears who actually love each other and are only play fighting" VAMPIRES SUCK BLOOD! IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT, DON'T READ ABOUT IT! THEY AREN'T SUPPOSED TO BE APPROPRIATE FOR YOUNG CHILDREN!

  • @tarrus13

    Ahem...

So these other parents want their impressionable young daughters to read about stalking, abuse, and phedophilia. Wow, excuse me while I go call DHS and make sure to have some trucks standing by to make sure we get these nice folks taken away. If parents don't want their kids to read it, then I suggest Animal Farm or Dorian Gray, for the weak at heart! And sucessful doesn't always mean a good read, check out Heart of Darkness if you don't believe me!

  • Stephen King will resurrect H.P.Lovecraft and double team Stephanie Meyer. Then they'll send a video to the fat twitard

  • @silentrage90

I'm SO praying for that to happen. Gage Creed from King's "Pet Semetary" could make Edward Cullen shit his pants.

  • ...now all we need is for James Patterson and Till Lindemann and Robin Williams to speak against Twilight.

  • Stephen King is a genius. Although I haven't read too many of his books (me being a Harry Potter and Hunger Games fanatic) I still think he is amazing. All the Twitards were like, "bitch be tryin 2 steal stephs popoularrrity!! nuh-uh!" OF COURSE HE FUCKING ISN'T. He's speaking his opinion and if you can't take the heat get out of the damn kitchen.

(Not being anti-feminist, as I am a girl, a fifteen year old at that)

  • That is not Stephen's opinion. Is a fact. Just sayin'

  • You are so correct that it's ridiculous. So is Stephen King. Too bad nobody who actually loves Twilight will see that. They have a loyalty to that atrocious series that borders on religious ferver. Hey, at LEAST Twilight convinced some folks to read a fucking book. I get the feeling that at least a few Twilight fans might never have done it willingly in their entire lives. Perhaps they'll stumble onto something truely great now that the door is open...

  • @amanualdexterity18 I wouldn't count on it. Most likely these twilight nuts just saw the movies and didn't bother reading the books. Either way, I still think twilight is for teens and 40 year old women whose husbands don't fuck them no more.

  • @Bystandah

I quite agree, but allow me to add something. You should have said "Either way, I still think twilight is for CATACLYSMICALLY RETARDED teens," because sensible teens (sounds like an oxymoron sometimes, yes, yes, we're steretyped as cellphone-worshipping sex-crazed idiots, blah-blah-blah . . . I'd know, I AM a teen, but I am NOT like that), to share my opinion, know that Twilight is a dumbed-down, sissy, for-fucking-babies franchise who can't handle True Blood or Dracula.

  • @8CaptainHowdy point taken. For not being like these stupid Twilight-worshipping dumbasses, I salute you. I'm guessing you agree with me on the 40-year-old women part though?

  • @Bystandah

One hundred per cent, my friend. XD

  • I have immense respect for both Stephen King, and you. this was a really good video.

  • I'm a 35 year old male and grew up reading every Stephen King book out there. One thing you have to say about King though. His books are much dirtier and a few of them are not for children I bring up Stephen King's IT. Where he has preteen boys having sex with the same preteen girl. Cause there all lost in the sewers or some such this is not something. I would want my kids reading and it's not the only one, but I'm running out of room here. I read all the Twilight books too and these are a lot

  • better then King's books for teens. Not to mention if you Twilight haters would get a little more opened minded. It's about time someone changed the vampire a bit. I always found it stupid that they burst into flame or other wise burned in sunlight. There a dead body like a zombie right well zombies don't burn in the sun. Why must a vampire do that hmm I've never seen that explained by any writer. Granted the being all sparklely is a bit silly, but it better explains.

  • Where the vampires burning might of come up a human sees. Person suddenly starts glowing when the sun hit them, but the person was suddenly gone. When the vampire hurryed off cause the sun came out. That human would be like I saw this person suddenly light up. In the sun, but then they were just gone and there was this dust left where they were standing. Well to end my rant sure Stephen King is a much better writer, but Meyer is much newer. An King's first few novels were never published 'til he

  • was much better or more well known.

  • Some people don't understand that putting words on a page and having them make sense doesn't mean that you are a good writer. I have read all the Twilight books. The first was OK, but after that, I don't think she had any clue where she was going, and in New Moon: Doesn't that sound familiar? Two lovers, one kills herself (but doesn't actually kill herself) and so the other one wants to die without even knowing for sure if she's dead? ROMEO AND JULIET! OK, sorry, I ranted.... oh well.

  • If..I.. mean when Chuck Norris says Twilight sucks then he is right. His word is God.

  • Stephen King is just speaking the truth.

    What's wrong with that?

  • all there needs to be is a anime of Castlevania vs Twilight or Undwerworld vs Twilight. now that is a movie I would go to watch cause I would already know who would win :)

  • @mechaart I'd like to see those fag Twilight vamps square off against the vamps in From Dusk Til Dawn.

  • @Bystandah XD ouchy that is like overtkill there XD. I dont think Edward wouldnt stand a chance against one of the female vampires in dusk till dawn.

  • twilight isjust a bad fanfic based on vampire diaries not vise versa. i hate when people think vampire diaries was after twilight XD , geez twilight made vampires popular in all the wrong ways. i love vampire but i like true vamps, dracula, nosferatu, alucard, all other vamps...exept fairy like vamps like edward. i think ill try to save vampires by writing a book miself, i mean if meyer can do it so can i

  • @sayachan7 See, for me, Twilight has almost nothing to do with vampires. Twilight, to me, is just a glorified love story, with supernatural thrown in to spice things up. I doubt people love the movies because of the vampire element. Most go to salivate over Jacob and Edward.

  • @Africana3789 haha your right, i think edward is a gay fairy though...no wait thats insulting to the fairies ...XD

  • @sayachan7 LOL

  • @Africana3789 i think its gona make girls go out with crazy guys "i feel like killing you"

" omg your like edward you must really like me when you said that" "no really i feel like stabing you 53 times"

"awww i love you to" XD yep...well i kinda am thankfull for twilight i mean if that scenario happens the population or retarded people wil go down owo good on ya meyer plus since no one fears vampires animore , actual vampires can go around and hunt easier she probably gets vamp tnx letters

  • @sayachan7 You should see the vid from College Humor I think that summarizes what you just said.

  • I think Twilight is very good fanfiction...actually, NO. It's terrible fanfiction. It's something that people would flame endlessly because of its massive amounts of fail. Stephanie Meyer cannot write for shit!

Now, Stephen King, JK Rowling and Edgar Allan Poe are great authors. Unlike Stephanie Meyer, they can actually write.

  • vampires are suppose to suck blood not ass

  • Few years ago, these teenagers watch powerpuff girls and have cooties. And then they started reading Twilight Saga with its Chick Flick appeal.

Lo and Behold! after reading 3 books by Stephenie Meyer, they suddenly become experts as to what good fiction should be, totally disregarding Stephen King's 30 years of tested writing talent.

  • Hey not comparing myself to the legendary stephen king or anything like that but I am a recently published author. The name of my book is Rasciss and is about a man named Hollowawk who literally defied death and now must face the wrath of the gods. Come onto my channel and check out the video I made for my book, if u like what u see than please pick urself up a copy and let me know what u thought about it.

  • damn i totally agree with this video very insightful but having king vs meyer is like a giant and an ant lol sorry meyer you suck! if you wanna learn how to write vampire stories then get some advice from anne rice that is if she'll give it now that shes a christian writer now

  • two words...Pet Semetary.

  • @thebabycakes71 FOR SURE

  • Right on....

  • dude, has said person who said he only writes horror ever read eyes of the dragon? that was an amazing fantasy story by stephen king. and that person probably isnt a mainer because we stand behind our residents( except for the bush family when they vacation here)
