I do not think this anime sucks, surprisingly, i am not one of those fan boys which will go all caps rage and yell about it. Now reading your reasons why you don't like Bakemonogatari i will reply to each reason in the same style.

1. I can not really explain the rather ridiculous "black" and "red" scenes, other than Bakemonogatari had an experimental animation style.

2. Technically, she is in every episode. Hanekawa and Black Hanekawa are one in the same, their personalities are pretty much the same, they only differ with their appearance.

3. Bakemonogatari is based of the novel by Nisio Isin, and Bakemonogatari is the second novel in the series, so the story may be subliminal but becomes more important later on.

Bakemonogatari is a pretty unique anime. It's weird, but weird as in...unique not weird as in bad. Furthermore the artwork and animation are awesome. This is not your usual anime, this is mean as a piece of art.

It is a cool anime, but may not fit your tastes. It has pretty a pretty deep philosophy so it can get confusing :)
