  • does anyone know when this was made??

  • @mpscats360 1946

  • The names are a key to the characters:Felicite means happiness, and she's anything but,Adelaide is the "noble sort",but base in all she does,Ludovic means "famous warrior",but he's a coward,Avenant is affable,adorable,charming...Belle sees him so.Belle is the only one whose name doesn't lie, she's beautiful within and without.Bete simply means animal or beast.Belle slowly comes to understand the real persona of Bete...

  • Uprated.

  • how can two sisters be so horrible o.o

  • Belle's sisters are the bitchiest people ever!

  • As far as I'm concerned Josette Day is Belle she has the classical look

she captures the fairy tale version of beauty and the beast i will never tire of watching this movie

  • I first saw this on tv when I was a little girl. I'm almost 60 and I still remember it.

  • avenant is HOT!!!

  • @kasumimoon1961 he's also the the beast :3 <3

  • Mais qu'est ce que c'est débileee !

  • There is a button underneath the screen that says 360p, if you click on it and change it to 480p then the screen becomes perfectly fine.

  • @Vizzini13906 - way cool. Thanks for explaining it so PERFECTLY WELL. Sorry I'm an old Deadhead & sometimes it seems it's getting harder to "connect the dots" (sorta speak). LOL, guess I had too much "fun" at Dead shows & didn't bother learning what you kids now a days almost know instinctively (how to work a stupid computer). Thanks again for the courtesy of explaining as succinctly as you did. Cheers to you. 8:55 pm Sept. 5 2010

  • If its stretched, try putting it in HQ mode. Worked for me.

  • Am I the only one whose picture is all skewed and streched?

  • So beautiful, from a competely different time when films were a form of art! Thank you ever so much for posting this film.

  • "such charming creatures" i love that they had that sacasm :)

  • ooooo sabot

    the wooden shoes

the saboteurs used to jam machinery

  • Crying diamonds - how beautiful! I LOVE this film :D

  • Jolie couronne.

  • This film seems slightly Leroux inspired.

  • @Ihatesev or did it inspire Leroux?

  • @Ihatesev Yes, and Belle's movements are extremely similar to Marie Philbman's in Phantom. But in terms of which story inspired which, Belle et la Bete came first.

  • Mon pere le monstre e bon.

  • what does this mean? only parle ongle :(
