@bassguitar079 Probably not by law, but rather by each dept's preference. In other states on the East Coast only blue lights are allowed (I believe Maryland, Maine, and Connecticut are examples). Possibly Virginia's counties have individual laws, which is something you could find out relatively easily.
@roarimataco How is it a waste of your tax dollars? A slicktop is actually cheaper than a marked vehicle those lights are cheaper than the roof light bar,you don't have to pay for the graphics, the push bumper saves you money so every time they hit pit somebody it's not scratching their bumper and causing them to have to repair the bumper, and not having a lightbar on top saves gas to because the lightbar causes wind resistance. So no it's not a waste of tax payers money.
@pearldrumsarecool , A big waste of money on my tax dollar, all cops need is a simple white toyota corolla or pickup truck with simple one light bar and police on the side in black letters !
@sn9696 You don't understand a Toyota Corolla is not designed for police work. Police cars have to have heavy duty brakes, heavy duty cooling because most the time police officers have to leave their cars running because if they shut their car off then they get a major call, and have to crank it back up their battery dies and have no way to respond to the call, that's why law enforcement uses Crown Victoria "Police Interceptors" or Charger,Tahoe,Impala, and Caprice those are all police packaged
@pearldrumsarecool ,Funny,i have seen police in another country use toyota corolla! The reason why they make police packages on Crown Vic,Charger,Tahoe,Caprice they would have problems if they were a police cars or not! Not a toyota corolla !
@pearldrumsarecool ,are you a little kid,i said other countrys, most countrys don't have programes like dare or community events! i have seen small police cars in other countrys with a million miles on it !Why is this so hard to believe? These cars are not needed, its a waste of my tax dollars/gas etc, these police cars also inflates the cops ego which you dont need !
@sn9696 Nevermind i'm not going to keep arguing with you you obviously don't have any idea about police cars and what they need and what type of cars they don't need the point is a toyota coralla will not work as a police car due to the fact they're not even made for police work this is United States not other countries
Reminds me of the chargers here in county(Surry County VA) Except our cheap country ones have no roof lights and about 2 or 3 inside lights. Just Sorry if you ask me.
@POPJack1717 I understand if the lights are "small", but don't discount slicktops as cheap. Slicktop units usually cost MORE, but help to save on fuel. In addition, they aid in stealth and protect the longevity of the vehicle (particularly the roof).
thats a mean looking car with the brush guard...too bad the cops use it dodge could have made so much money off it...they get there share tho for sure...cuz who wants to drive a cop car
Ahhhh I love this charger. Dodge does have an SRT police package do they? either way, don't think a liter bike would have any problem blowing this car away ;p
@marshie1337 they dont, most agencies will get the r/t chargers but they have a column shifter instead of a floor shifter thus leaving room to mount equipment.
@DAZEBLUNTS Uh no. I doubt that. As I mentioned, I have it tuned with a predator and have the top speed limiter turned off. So even if you were to even try, you couldn't outrun me or my motorola...
@AttPro I always tell people who think they can outrun the police.. "Go ahead and try. But I can promise you your car won't drive faster than my motorola." LOL
@Dreadzedan True. It's not easy to have to deal with these lazy bums that corrupt society. I would honestly put a bullet in each one of them. My tax dollars paying for the ER bills when their drug deal goes bad and they get the shit beat out of them or even shot. It's sad to think I have to support these low lifes (ie. the poster above we are talking about) and hope that one day they'll understand that they are useless to everybody.
@Laikmuay I love my car. It's the 5.7L and I've tuned it with a Predator. Throttle response is SO much better than it was stock. I chose to do the entire front brushguard instead of just a pushbar since the front end is only plastic, and not even fiberglass.
@infinity3jif Actually they do I live in southeast Ga and I was headed to atlanta on I75 and saw a white slicktop GSP charger with the orange lettering on it and behind it was a dark gray GSP tahoe
@infinity3jif Yeah I agree with you there I was talking to one of my freinds who is a sheriff's deputy which is what I plan on being when i get out of College, anyways his cousin is a GSP Trooper in reidsville and his cousin told him they probally weren't going to buy any more Chargers because of engine problems and just diffrent problems that they were going to try out the tahoes and the upcoming Ford Police Interceptors that replaced the Crown Vic
@pearldrumsarecool i've seen a few GSP Tahoes they look pretty slick too, but i wonder can they handle the abuse and what did you mention something about the chargers having an engine problem?

@pearldrumsarecool that may be so, but is THAT many lights absolutely necessary? I'm no expert, but I think not.
