  • This layout has been significantly redone and i am actually in the process of replacing the one entire side of the layout (the part where all the houses are) with brand new buildings and scenery.

  • thumbs up for bachman E-Z track!

  • Cool layout. I have a Bachmann Spectrum K-4 (postwar) with five standard heavyweight coaches for it to pull - but no layout to run it on yet (I did give it a run around one of the local club layouts though).

  • @JBofBrisbane May I ask where exactly you found these coaches? I have been looking for Pennsy Coaches for years now

  • @kshopr - Sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. I bought them a few years ago at a few of our local train and hobby shops in Brisbane (Austral Modelcraft and Hobbyrama for sure, maybe J&J Hobbies as well). Might have been old stock then.

Actually, at the moment I'm on the hunt for some New York Central streamliners for my Rivarossi Dreyfuss J-3 Hudson to pull. Haven't seen any where you are, by any chance?

  • so its only dc

  • Does your layout have DCC on it? I love the flashing light on the tower and the way the signal actually responds!

  • O!!! I forgot! May you give me a few tips?

  • Dear Kshopr /whom it may concern:

I am trying to make a HO scale model train; and I would like to if Atlas model trains are a

    good choice? please reply. :)

  • @Vmanshow sorry for taking so long... and personally, i prefer atlas HO train cars... primarily because they have metal wheels and are less likely to derail or cause problems... Ive never tried there engines. But I am highly pleased with Mantua. They have great stuff. All of it. So I suggest Mantua.

  • @kshopr O.K.! Thanks!

  • @Vmanshow

    yea altlas are good

  • how many trains can you run on this layout

  • @jmsschooner only 1

  • @jmsschooner

But if you have two tracks and two controlers you can run 2

  • how did you make your signal respond?

  • @gothicskull13 There is a switch.

  • Is a 4x8 sheet of plywood pretty good size?

  • not really. its very small for O gauge, but for HO its good for a begginer.

  • Its a good start. If you're lucky you can find a 4x8 folding talbe with a wood top that is free or cheap and just use that.

  • O-Gauge you can do just about nothing with it. HO is a bit better. And for N-Scale it's freaking amazing.

  • @caboose106 for Z scale its a wonder land..

  • @NSwannabeEngineer

    Yes, I personally think so

  • Nice layout! Can you put up a short video of a drawing of your track plan?

  • nice try for 4 by 8

  • Does the engine at 0:40 have a smoke unit?

  • yes it does :D

  • Well I just got it not too long ago and it is sweet! I got a $200.00 Pennsylvania steam locomotive with sound and it sounds so real because it was recorded from a real train. I would make a video about it but my dad won't let me use the video camera.

  • I forgot to tell you that mine is the exact same locomotive as yours but with dcc and sound.

  • I just read the box and it says that it's a Bachmann Spectrum PRR K-4 DCC with sound.

  • dc or dcc

  • I would like to get dcc but I dont have the trains or the money to get it yet So for now its DC.

  • Cool layout. You should have done some editing in the video.
