An absolutely brilliant piece of work by Ken Russell. Whatever you might think of his later work, "Song of Summer" is film-making at its very best. See it if you can.

I have a pretty good VHS tape of the original TV fim, including the original introduction sequence, it was repeated on BBC2 in 1993 (I think) when I taped it.

I saw the original.  Superb. Dont have the facilities to convert it to DVD.

Thanks for uploading! No other way to see it here in the US that I know of. Moving and unforgettable. Perhaps Ken Russell's masterpiece. Have never seen any other film bio of a composer nearly this good.

Wonderful film. I think the audio with the director commentary turned on would be more interesting.

This is the audio version of what I regard as the greatest bit of television ever to be presented in the UK. It is a triumph! Ken Russell portraits Delius as the awkward character that he surely was.
