Getting a little too worked up over this video aren't you guys? He didn't protect the toner from the lights when removing it? Give me a break...BFD and you know it "experts"....
And also, in what reality does vacuuming inside a small area with an attachment manufactured for just that purpose cause the vacuum motor to burn out... I know who I am NOT asking for advice on vacuum maintenance.
BTW I have a feeling Pterocarpous might be able to steer you in the right direction if your trying to buy a "Special Printer Vacuum" He probably has 2 or three links to his suppliers website ready to go for when all the saps that read his comments want to know where to get one. Retarded , sleazy assholes calling other assholes assholes, assholes.
This person is ill-informed about proper and safe laser printer maintenance. His most egregious misinformation is re: vacuuming the printer. DO NOT use a household vacuum on a laser printer. It will quite possibly cause the vacuum motor to burn out, it WILL NOT capture the toner (it will, instead spew the toner into the atmosphere via the vacuum output). Further, via ESD (electrostatic discharge) it can damage the printer electronics. A special purpose vacuum must be used on laser printers.
This is completely wrong and this guy should be playing with coloring books and not making Youtube videos. You need a toner vac to do it safely and properly.
Who needs to watch for the full 3 min? When he didn't cover the cartridge to protect it from light, I knew. I'll hit dislike but I might fav it and file it under top B.S. vids of all time.
Your comment doesn't make any sense either, he wiped down the plastic panels... thats it... HP themselves provide cleaning kits that include wetnaps covered in rubbing alcohol..
I read the comments before viewing the video..since, I am an open-minded person I decided not to let the opinions of others influence my decision to watch the video or not...Boy was I wrong! It sucks!!! Regret the 3 minutes that I spent watching & writing this comment!!!
correct way to clean a 1300 is to throw it in the trash and buy a new one for 80 dollars.

ever heard of a filter bag? Could you recommend a nice expensive vacuum now that you have opened your big mouth?

I agree with alxreverb120's first and best comment, and with pmberlin's second and almost best comment.
I wonder how much "James" charged the customer to clean this laser printer.
