  • i feel bad for those deaf ppl

  • There's not a single sign in here. It's all mime. To call it a "Deaf Song" makes you incredibly ignorant. Call it what it is: mime.

  • @musicedmajor wow lighten up dude..get a fucking sense of humour..

  • you suck!

  • lol your not watch his face if your saying he is expresionless.

  • I think it's really rude of you all to say he can't be like David. Nobody can be like someone else. This mimeplayer surely had some good stuff in there, and he's funny in another way compared to David. And look at the discription, it doesn't say he's imitating David, it says David inspired him. And please don't say that David is on a higher level, because everybody has to learn in his life. I'm not as good as David either. Everyone's different and everyone likes something else.

  • David Armand is 500 times better than whoever this is. Sad imitation of Armand. Nowhere near as much attention to detail as Armand. "A new level" is correct, a level that Armand far surpassed.

  • @Wrahns give the guy a break jesus, he put in a good effort, david armand is amazing yes, better than this? yes but this is still good, dont comment if you arent gonna be polite about things.. its good..end of lol

  • I'm not happy with his performance, It a bit rude gesture of deaf which upset me. Please delete this because it bad example for hearing people think it is deaf culture but it is not.

  • Sorry but David Armand is brilliant because of his facial expressions and because he doesn't try to dance. He mimes. (he also pays attention to specific words... so, i , me, boy) etc... Not just acting out the general meaning of the song.

  • sucks ass

  • Happy New Year 2011! on a deaf specific dating site Deafornot dot c om, it requires members to disclose their condition upfront

  • There's nothing specifically wrong with his act as such. But it just doesn't work. I think the reason is, it's too slow - not enough actions - and he's not comfortable with his actions trying to look street and quick but it's coming off Jerky.

Kudos thoguh It's reasonably thought out and well executed, for what it is. But it needs more depth and fluidity.

  • The counselor on a deaf community Deafornot dot c om said that "People who may be defined as clinically deaf (unable to hear spoken language) may or may not be members of the Deaf community."

  • Sad

  • hey wats with all the hate? he clearly said this was inspired by david/johann, not trying to make out he is like him. its like knocking down a magician cause they're doing a trick inspired by harry houdini, i think this guy put in alot of effort and did this a well as he could

  • if u guys haven't notices...it looks like a high school...so i think he's doing pretty good

  • Nice job on the imitation and adding a little flair of his own. I think David Armand (in character as Johann Lippowitz) is brilliant, and you flatter him by doing a good job. :) Keep it up!

  • yall need to quit hating...its good. there is always stuff you could be working on yourself!

  • all this would look lyk to a deaf person is sum twat in a hat having weird siezures

  • hes not trying to rip him off, hes just inspired by him. is that such a bad thing? geez.

  • @XxoBiancaoxX Quite right I agree with you, imitation is after all the sincerest form of flattery :)

  • that's NOT Johann Lippowitz

  • dickhead :-/

  • I'm gonna be ignorant right now, are these real deaf gestures? Because I didn't believe Russel Peters either, till i actually met someone deaf o.o

  • @Garfunklmibladder Nope; if you mean by "gestures" if any resemble ASL words -- then no. I mean, this all could be taken as funny - but it's NOT actual translation. Translating songs into ASL is really ... weird. And I think these kinds of "interpretive dances" demonstrate how it's hilarious to translate verbatim. :).

  • @bonbonjambon Oh just checking that I don't actually talk to someone deaf and do something stupid xD Thanks

  • 1:05, 2:14, my fav parts...

  • He needs to do 3 lmao

  • What the hell am I watching? I'm sure the only reason this guy gets any hits is that he's dressed up similar to David / Johan, so we click it by accident. I would've been ashamed having this video for everyone to see..

  • @Slardiharrdarr jeese lighten up, my deaf friends turned me on the Josh.

  • i know i'm not th eonly one who loves the part from 0:59 -1:06 =) That part makes malugh over and over again ^^ just the movments are so epic!!! This guys my hero!! =D

  • nice movements

  • Ripoff is right!

  • Now that's commitment. Lippowitz' way of not moving between the words makes it so much funnier though. But this guy is still good, no doubt.

  • he is good enough

  • Effort is there...still not as good as Armand.....but overall a good show....needs more practice on the expressions department.....but the locking gives a good touch

  • so what if hes not as good as the other guy that does this,he still did pretty good and the faces cracked me up.keep up the good work.plus to the people that is giving the guy a hard time...post you doing better.

  • liked the its ''all right'' bit haha

  • uhh... i will pretend to not see it.

  • lol everybody lay off geez, they were just having fun. i'm Deaf and i thought this guy was pretty funny too xD

  • I thought it was funny

  • This is funny.

    Not as good as David.

    But still funny.

  • Legal OO

  • lol love this video,its hilarious = )

  • lol i feel so small hahahah

  • It's not BAD. It just would be better without the real dancing. That breaks the fun effect quite a bit.

  • i think it's wonderfull what he does!

  • what the heck??/ dude get your own act trying to rip off Johann Lippowitz.

  • @kjoseph315

Bro Johann lippowitz didnt come up with it u need skills to do this

  • Make it more smooth man..

Your doing the robot of some kind.. Make it smooth!

  • ohhhhhhh ele é gato!

  • Bad rip of David Armand's genious

  • a very bad ripoff of Johann Lippowitz.

  • @kvbrock82 ripoff, yes. Very bad? Meh.

The problem is that this guy's paying homage to CURRENT greatness, so obviously he's going to suffer horribly in comparison.

  • @pyookface i certainly wouldnt call Britney Spears GREAT thats for sure.. Also, he just isnt good at it. I just dont find it funny at all in comparison to Johann Lippowitz's versions.

  • @kvbrock82 When I said "greatness" I was referring to Lippowitz, not Spears. And I agree, he's not as good. This to me feels like a dancer doing a talent show more than a comedian trying to actually be funny.

  • @kvbrock82 im sorry but how exactly is this a ripoff? hwo's saying hes not just inspired by him? its not like he is stealing from him and im pretty sure that special moves or the idea of movement to the lyrics isnt patented..

  • THIS GUY IS sooo FUNNY-!

  • Not nearly as good as Kareoke for the Deaf guy. His face ia totally expresionless and has no humour.

  • @julesmiles It's not the same guy (; Read description...

  • mehh ive seen wayyy better :/ but its good . i cud DEFINETALY not do it lol

  • Great ! Of course for those understand what he is showing and song words

  • well done, but a litte exaggerated.

  • it isn't deaf song! it so boring!!!

  • @Gilraen110

you're absolutely right it isn't for deaf which I don't understand what he saying

  • haha wie gail..ich muss voll lachen..xD

  • i dont like it.. i dont know why.. i just dont like it..

  • @krizanya.. because its shit.

  • yeah.. what a surprise.. hahaha xD

  • i will have nightmares for ever after seeing this.

  • if you see a train coming,, jump ahead

  • 1/5

  • Amei, muito bom!

  • yeah, this isnt as good. youre not sticking to one thing with the mimes, but spread all around with instrument mimicry and literal mimicry, and not as funny as Armands.

  • Love it!

  • absolutely awesome!

  • Ha. Cute. I thought this was a pretty cool "inspiration!"

  • Good job, very bad imitation though. Don't try to steal his thing because you can never get to his level. Make your own thing and it will be a lot better.

  • This is just a bad Johann Lippowitz imitation, real bad.

  • Agreed.

  • 5/5

  • i like second song .

    Does somebody know the name?

  • Everytime

  • Everytime, from album "In the zone"...

  • Comment removed

  • Britney Spears - Everytime

  • Johann Lipowitz

  • he is actually using some real signs ^.^ i watched this first without sounds and i understood some of it but yes i can imagine it can be confusing for the deaf... thankfully it isn't for the deaf just some funniness :D

  • I think this was not a good song to pick for the deaf, they prlly get tortured by this song.

Anyway, whenever i do my mime song acts i pick better songs like "This Olde Man" and "Mary Had a Little Lamb"

    very good performance btw, 5/5

  • This isnt 'for the deaf' this guy just does these humorous gestures to songs, it is just what he does as entertainment, not for the deaf to understand. Of course it does make it easier for deaf people to understand songs or whatever, but it isnt its main objective. Its for entertainment.

  • No, it's not "Johann" (David Armand).

The clue is that this guy (Josh?) is barely even amusing and even the music is inappropriate. David Armand is the master - but a shame there's very few examples of his mime - but they are near perfect and he's moved on.

  • he looks like mime. he's great! :P

  • this song is so not for deaf people. it's miming and gesturing, but it only makes sense if you know or can hear the lyrics.

case in point: how would deaf people know "i" and "eye" sound alike?

  • They know how every word sounds alike, trust me.

  • no, they don't. i work with deaf people. they don't have a clue.

  • They know! I have deaf friends and I can sign language myself, they know how it sounds alike.

  • Your deaf friends may be aware, but you can't generalize the deaf as a whole. I know plenty of Deaf individuals who would not be able to discern that "eye" and "I" sound alike.

  • Me, too. Some Deaf peole can tell, others cannot. It just depends on the background of the person.

  • fuck britney...

  • LEAVE BRITNEY ALONE!!!!!

  • @cassandra..

Wake up and look at the More Info to the right:

"Deaf Song to a Britney Spears Medley"

    Duh!

  • Whahahahahahaha soooooo funny

  • funny i loved it!

  • is this the same guy that did the natalie imbruglia mime of torn? if so whats his name?

  • Read the description

  • nope..this is other guys that inspired by David Armand

  • No, David Armand did Torn. This one is done by someone who aspires his skill.

  • It's Johann Lippowitz :)

  • that guy's name is johann libbowitz. not sure if this is him though.

  • Johhan Lippowitz is the artistic name of David Armand, and no, he doesn't appear in this video.

  • Absolutely shitty sound, you can't make out anything Brittney's singing!

  • shut up it isn't even about britney..

  • that wasn't sign but that was really funny

  • lolz, 'baby...(cradles)' LOL

  • well that was a waste of time the only thing good about it was when i clicked off this video

  • this sucked. wasnt even anykind of attemp at sign, was more air drumming then anything.

  • lol yea, is more like mime song than a deaf song

  • why is that when someone gets famous with something everybody does the same thing??? it's already been done :-(

  • stop the copycat

  • lame!! weak!!! copycat!!!

  • sweeeeeeeeet! good job!

  • the difference is that this is dancing, johann lippowitz is mime

  • What`s the name of twice song ?

  • nice but john lippowitz is the best;)

  • quite cleverly done... lol awesome!!!

  • hahaha,,u got talent man

  • you made me laugh ,,,,,your so funny,,,,hahahahahaha

  • wow you are amazing so funny my husband and I loved it!!!! :D

  • HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAH...

    Very NiCe!!!

    =D

  • HAHAH , u kidding me , soooo nice done ! :D hahah good video ! :D 5 stars, without a doubt ;D

  • Great video!!!

  • I'm dating his sister!

  • BAHAHA, yes you are.

We both came from my mum's vagina!

  • bit of a rip off really!! But hey, at least by copying Johan Lipowitz he is complimenting him, but will never be as good! cioa

  • Nice attempt. Hard to see with the weird camera angle. There's a reason stagework is filmed at eye-level, straight-on.

  • Well done - you obviously worked very hard - 5 stars!!! cheers

  • lmao THAT WAS SO GREAT

  • very original....... booooooooooooooring.

  • ive said ti befor and ill say it again.

    yanks ruin everything!!!

  • he is goregous just goregous !

  • nnaaaahh....

    this is not so funny...

  • David Armand is actually funny (unlike this) and his videos are appropriately titled MIME as opposed to "Deaf song" and, as many have pointed out, this is certainly not a song for we Deaf people

  • amazing:)

  • I am happy that you resisted the temptation of copying David Armand and you came across as original!

    Way to go!

  • It's pretty good, and funny but that other guy does it better. I don't think you can beat the original... good though. :-)

  • Why are there so much quarrelling about obvious things NOT intended in almost every video I see? Can't you guys just bloody enjoy the videos here on youtube, sit down and shut up?

  • just not good enough. cant take it away from the real thing like that

  • He's a real artist...

  • Bloody hell... I'm profoundly deaf and I'm not even the tiniest bit offended by this or by people taking the mick out of deaf people. I done very well, I'm in college at the moment and I have lots of hearing friends, I speak very clearly and hear very clearly due to hearing aids but I do have a big problem, people do tend to patronize deaf people by thinking that we're retarded, but that's it really.

  • That mean you're not deaf you are hard of hearing cos you say you can talk and can hear by hearing aids

  • is he realy deaf?

    He is very good :D

  • No he is a Mime. They use some signs that are used in the Deaf world but he is not Deaf. If you want to watch anyone who actually is deaf or has studied Deaf Culture and know their language then use ASL in your search. Thanks

  • Thanks for helping :P

  • He is not really deaf and he's making a fool of deaf

  • Mimed, not signed. >_>

  • HAHAHA! this is great! you people gotta lighten up! deaf people have a sense of humor too. or so i hear.

  • or so u hear? xD

  • Deaf people does have a sense of humor but not in a way that you know it.

We're a very, V E R Y blunt group of people. We do not care if the "humor" hurts your feelings because it is funny to us.

But with YOUR sense of "humor" it offends the deaf with labeling this as "deaf/sign language"--and we know how ....'sensitive'....your sense of humor is.

  • being insensitive and knowing something is humorous has nothing to do with each other.

and if you want to treat someone different because of a percieved "handicap" and don't think you can rib them along with everyone else, then maybe YOU'RE the one who is insensitive. People with disabilities don't want to be treated special, they want to be treated normal, jokes and all.

and dont tell me they "have humor but not the way I know it" my sister is deaf so I DO know.

  • Dave does this shit better. Be a little more original.

  • For thoes of you who think this is Sign Language, it's not!!! Further more only a Deaf person can tell if this is offensive!!!

    ASL interpreting student: MGS.

  • WTF!!! Was he thinking
