Good for you ! We adopted our cat, Neo, from a shelter - and now he's our little spoiled sweetie ! I wish everyone would consider adopting from a shelter - there are so many wonderful animals that need homes. And everyone remember to spay and neuter your animals ... so we can decrease the number of animals in shelters !!

Yes, we got Barney from the Mistley Animal Sanctuary, one of the best decicions we've ever taken.. apart from the fact that he barks at anybody and anything.. and keep me awake in the day.. Still, I forgive him.. :) Have a most excellent Christmas, you two.. and Gunner too.. :)

I got my birds and Hamster and Gerbils from an Adoption Scheme. People take them in because they are too active or can no longer afford to keep them. I dare not go into those places, I get my sorry head on, and then take them home lol. But you know, at least they have a chance now and are loved by myself and my family. I know you will have many hours of enjoyment from Gunner. I still do with my pets.

Marcel and i have been thinking about getting one from a shelter also, but we are afraid our dog Kimmie( a very small one) won't like it.She is 14 years old now and just don't realy like to have other dogs around her anymore.
And i know that if we would get a dog out of a shelter and kimmie woulden't get along with her/him i just could not ever bring it back to the shelter.
But i'm realy so glad that there are a lot of people like you, that do get a dog out of a shelter.

Your dog is beautiful and looks so sweet.. I am glad you have loads of work. My husband is a home builder and there has not been very much work here..

dlorezz the dog is great,the work around here is drying up very fast,i am also in the building trade(tiler)i am just one of the lucky people who still has work,it will get a lot worse before it get's better,hope you have a great christmas,love and respect scotty and libby:0)

Marcel and i have been thinking about getting one from a shelter also, but we are afraid our dog Kimmie( a very small one) won't like it.She is 14 years old now and just don't realy like to have other dogs around her anymore.
And i know that if we would get a dog out of a shelter and kimmie woulden't get along with her/him i just could not ever bring it back to the shelter.
But i'm realy so glad that there are a lot of people like you, that do get a dog out of a shelter.
