It all matters how the exhaust is built, if it's built for the best throughput or great note then it's going to be a loud screaming beast of a car, but if the producer thinks that noise isn't the only factor of a good, fast car then they may even try to mute these loud noises for the comfort of the ride. I'm sure that big'ol noisy engine isn't the best for long highway journeys...
