I rehab'd a 80's Peugeot urban commuter type thing for my brother in NYC. 40 hours total, laced and trued the rear wheel with a surly fixed/free hub myself, pulled the v-brakes off my mountain bike for the cause, new set of Continental Contacts, syntace bars w/end levers, polished the cranks, waxed the frame, etc... The first time he locked it up, GONE! ****ers cut the lock and got everything except the saddle & post. Bummer! =/

A battery powered sawzall makes any bike very quick to steal. Cut through the frame or whatever, re-arc weld the frame back together somewhere else. The only way around this is some sort of active security method such as an alarm.

a cresent wrench is a BAD tool to use for your bolts, use the right size wrench, its called a chain breaker, they have tubes that are 300% thicker then a normal tube to pervent flats, which run for about $10-$15 which saves you god knows how much from normal tubes, longest iv used one was 4 years till i ran over a fucking nail, that multi tool is great but there can be a bitch to use at times, over all this video SUCKED, and riding anything but a 20inch BMX SUCKS!

its not called a chain ring, its called a chainwheel, its not called a rear triangle, its called rear forks, a U brake is a break of shit, my 1/2inch 3 1/2 foot steal cable is 1000 times better, it can lock the frame, back and front rims, and handle bars up, if they steal my seat, oh well, i hardly use it anyways, and boowho, you got a scratch on your bike, having a light on your bike is stupid, ride on the sidewalk at night! the light show looks GAY, you only need 3 way allen wrench,

@rapelpecho i would love to see your clip a 1/2inch steel cable in under 15 minutes, i ended up have to spend over 15 minutes with a hack saw to cut the one off my bike because i lost the key to my kryptonite stainless steel round padlock. The reason why i prefer 1/2inch or bigger cables for a lock system on my bike is cause them cable arnt 100% ment for bike but for construction purposes. so i know they will hold up to the job unlike most crappy bike locks

I totally agree with the ugly your bike scheme. I ride a 1987 cinelli supercorsa with campy record hubs, and my ride looks like shit. No one (except bike snobs) even bother to look once let alone twice. mismatched rims and tires, different cross patterens on spokes, scrapes bruises all help.

why would you patch a tube, except in a emergency ...there like $5,, and bike tubes are being made in china now for cheaper than ever .....and you can get a portable bike pump for $25 that is the size of a i-phone , and it will fill your tube enough to get you home......and your bike lock trick will allow some to steel your front rim ... and soled bike locks are EZer to cut through that wired ones ...and wired ones are lighter to carry and longer so you can lock up your whole bike
