you are right regarding lt1 top end, but i think it has more top end than than the 740. I just think it would have caught the volvo eventually. I am a volvo fan, being that i have an 850T but I have to be realistic... the volvo appears to have more midrange and def. has more usable traction, however. Maybe with a few more mods the volvo could take it top end, but the LT1 camaro tops out supposedly at like 150, I just don't think the volvo could take it that far in its current state.

I own an 87' 740 GLE running 18lb's boost barely running on premium petrol. took me 2 years to track down and buy the parts. Couldn't be happier.

Insurance is cheap, got 4 doors, wayyy safe, and cops don't take a second look. VOLVO FOR LIFE!!!!

RWD is with out of doubt the best drivetrain for drag racing. AWD bogs too much, and you can only do so much to a FWD before you have serious traction issues.
