I think instead of saying our diet is veg, we should actually be saying our diet is pain-free - that is what Hinduism is trying to convey. Killing animals is himsa - u are causing a lot of pain & suffering - go to some of the animal rights websites like PETA & see for urself how animals are being raised & killed for our pleasure. A Veg diet is painfree - that's the teaching of Hinduism - another reason to be proud to be a Hindu. What a great faith!
