@NightHawkBomber001 are not affected by watching the stuff, they should still refrain from doing so for the sake of others, who for example do have addictive personalities & will be encouraged to watch porn if they see someone they know watching it. So on closer examination it becomes clear that viewing porn affects many more people than just the user.

I have a fairly big problem with what he says.
He keeps refering to all of these "good friends" "good parents" as godly also.
There are good people who aren't religious.
I thought that the only thing different about this man is that he doesn't teach the "good people vs bad people" crap.
But I guess he does.

love, no, they are not on par with a 6 year old.
there is physical evidence of the emotion love, there is brain activity that can be measured when a person has such strong emotion.
Experiencing pain when hearing extremely bad news, no they are not on par with a 6 year old.
Again this is another physical response that leaves behind biological evidence and which can be fairly easily understood.

I'm not sure to what exactly you refer but science is nowhere near it's peak and doctors are still discovering cures for previously uncurable diseases.
It seems the only childish and ridiculous thing that still exists in society is you and your religious mob of idiots.
Who childishly and blindly believe in something, being shown no proof, and hand over your money those who as for it.

Genocide is defined as "attempting to destroy in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group"
And yes your right, of course I choose to view the bad, your people murdered anyone who stood in their way, it was complete genocide.
That's like saying "well, Hitler was a very very bad man with the whole jews thing, but on the other hand he writes a good book!"
Get real, just because you say god is love a million times over doesn't make it so, it just makes you deluded.

@TheJohnDoran Well Hitler's murdering the Jews was out of sinful reasons while God used his people (Israel) to carry out his judgement. You all complain about what God did in the past and don't realize that God is still doing the same thing today, God "gives life" and God "takes life away" even today, and God will send those who didn't believe in Christ to Hell because their sins haven't been atoned for and God cannot deal with sin... Just like he did in the Old Testament.

@TheJohnDoran You act as though those who were killed were innocent. Whether God used his nation to judge them or not, they still would be judged and sent into Hell because they deserve. Heck, EVEN US Christians deserve the same exact punishment, because we "all have sinned and fell short of the glory of God" and we all are sinful. But praises be to God that he sent his holy Son to take the punishment in the place of sinners such as myself so that we could reap the benefits of Christ Jesus!

I agree with you. I am a Christian and I am not proud of what has been done in the name of Christ. It makes me sick that someone who claims to love and follow Christ would do something so horrific and by doing it, marr the name of God.
I am deeply sorry if this has turned you off of Christianity, but I can assure you, a REAL Christian would not be like that. Fond a TRUE Christian, watch them, see if they are different. I hope you find truth.

Yes He is. But He is also just, His love and His justice work together but that does not mean that love will drown justice. He has given us free will as an act of love, we abused it and so He has to be just. That may sound harsh but His love again offers us a way out of the condemnation, A God who can do that, wow, He's a God I want to serve.

I was involved with this church and Mark is the last person I would take advice from. It amazes me how many people want to be like Mark and follow him in his footsteps so they think that makes them a man or woman. They end up being self righteous selfish people who become alcoholics and end up never finding a mate. LOL sorry but, I follow Jesus in his footsteps and not another sinful man. Not to mention Mark thinks he's God by firing certain people because they disagreed with him! GET A CLUE

In the cases of a sinful man do you not understand we are all sinful and we all have struggles? The simple fact that he has admitted to his faults is better than hiding them. When you are a pastor and the people that carry out the things you can't do you need staff with the same agenda as you otherwise nothing will ahppen.

Firstly, it is God himself who references the unicorn, and he does so to Job as an example in nature of what He is saying. God clearly commands the Israelites to make animal offerings to him; read the Torah. And the Israelites did kill a man for icking up sticks on the Sabbath. I know, I've read the Torah, and I've read Job, and I know the passages you're referring to. Still, wouldn't it be nice if we read verses in context instead of drawing ignorant conclusions?
Anyways, that doesn't have anything to do with what I'm trying to say. It all depends on how you look at the Bible. You obviously don't consider it to be authoritative, so you're going to come to different conclusions that I do. It all depends on your view of the Bible.

Yes, one should always read in context, but if you are insinuating that I have failed to do so, I insist that I have indeed not failed.
How one looks at the Bible does determine the conclusions one draws from it, but only to a degree: no sane man, wether or not he thinks the Scripture authoritative, will interpret "God said, Let there be light" as meaning that string cheese is tasty.

You claim that you are understanding the contexts of the passages of Scripture you referenced; can you explain what exactly that context is?
Obviously, we cannot interpret Genesis 1 as meaning that string cheese is tasty (which it is, by the way), but you're not seeing my point. The fact is, our disagreement is based on our different approaches to Scripture. Whether you look at Scripture as authoritative or not can make all the difference in the world.

meaning if it is not illegal then it is open to me BUT there is a proper time for it. A time when this thing/activity will be best used and enjoyed. And for the building up of my faith and relationship to God. ANYTHING that would take away from my relationship and enjoyment of God is to be cut away and is not profitable.
