VISTA is the worst OS that a dj could use.,,. unfortunately you will need to upgrade.,., all my boys use Windows 7 which still struggles with the demands of DJ'ing.,., I myself use MacBook (not Pro) with my NS7 without a hitch.,., Windows really suck... compare iPhone wtih all other phones which run on Windows based OS (nokia,,sony,,Lg,,) for an example in software intelligence.,.,

@bigbangcreation Wrong. Nokia run's on linux based system named symbian as well as their newer os maemo and iPhone sucks. Now on DJ'ing, sure mac is a more stable decision than a windows, but for normal day use (gaming, web surfing, messenger etc) i use windows.

ok this what i use and i run serato itch wide open,asus ,4 gb mem,hd 320gb,and cpu @8700.the cpu rpm is very important for running media.mine has never crashed,i have had radio dj's play on my ns7 and they couldnt believe how much tighter it was than their mac.

sir mean to say you can used any brand of computer(lenovo,msi,hp,samsung etc)as long that the requirments to run for serato is above specs that they posted at their website???i have brand new ns7 which i bought last december,and i am planning to purchased a netbook to run my stuff,,,any friendly advice???aside the expensive mac??thanks more power

i tested the NS7 in a store last week, all i can say is: to me it does not feel better than real turntables.

to me NS7 was dissapointing, high price with no wordclock input, no real 12" platters, no strobe lights, heavy, cue with a ribbon its not the same as with moving the needle and looking the actual grooves on the record, its a whole new world, the only thing i liked about serato was the song search. the sync is useless, the eqs algorithms sound ok. the led lights are ok, but you spend much time looking the pc screen insted, no kill push button like numerk total control was a bummer, etc...

Question for Numark.... Is the nsfx going to have the 12 effects like the vestax 1? would it have less more the same ?? I saw the vestax 1 and you can clearly read the 12 effects there please answer.
