The verdict hstandard4 is that an example how dificult in the days of todays to produce a quality film. I'm an independent filmaker living in a country with no film industry. But there is a light at the end of the tunnel. And maybe I'll reasing some money to finished my work. Thanks to post that since I'm using this as element to encourage people to invest on this great film.
The greatest players who ever lived, there will never be another Nato Lima, the greatest ever, no one ever would get not even close to him. Thank you Nato, rest in peace.
Wouldn't you think that people in the entertainment/communication industry could get the pronunciation of 'Tabajaras' correct? If the 'J' in Rio de Janeiro is hard, why can't they give the same sound to the 'J' in Los Indios Tabajaras ?? Fortunately the announcers' ineptness does not detract from the brilliance of the two Brazilian brothers. Their music has been a part of my life for more than 40 years. They are the best of their genre.
These brothers are masters of guitar and it's a real pity a lot of young guitar players of today are'nt exposed to such masters. I love you guys!!! From Rodrigo Fernandez
First of all they are brazillians . too bad that the brazillians dont like the red indians
but thanks to Mr sting [ from the police] who is doing a great job for the yanomamo we know more abd nore abouth this peoples but beside this i dont know if there are beter quitar players in the world but for me they are the best that ever have been there technics are super great
I'm sure Mr Sting has done a lot good deeds in South America. But Lost Indios Tabajaras has been world famous since the 60s... A good 10 years before the Police branching punk/raggae (which I love too).
And what some don't know is that Los Indios Tabajaras had actually been making records for about 20 years and enjoying some success at home in Brazil before "Maria Elena" broke them worldwide in 1963.
These guys have been my idols, going way back & when. I'm truly glad to have the chance to see these two fellow oldies again, this time behind the scenes.
Whoever started this Los Indios channel, Thank You !!!!!!!!
(Errata): I forgot one phrase: after "there are many notes..." he says: "All of these notes allows me to play piano notes". And he tell us about metronimus 200, not 240. He man is a genius, no doubt...
PART2:..."Now, my guitar has more notes, like this: "do, re, re sustenido, mi, fá, fa sustenido, after la. There are many notes...now, I do three notes on "vibrado". It happens on the guitar school. Metronimus 120 goes very well. But there is the metronimus that attains 184, with a incredible speed, and then, the metronimus 240, that only the violin and ME can attain, HEHEHE...!" Sorry for may bad english!
It´s interesting what he says at the start of this video...I can translate it, from portuguese: "this is called the "vibrado", it causes admiration, because nobody can to do it on the guitar...it´s impossible. This is the last note of the guitar, the "si". (cont.)
Los Indios Tabajaras, a big name admired by those people who know good guitar music. This duo brothers
known by the people from most parts of the world. An
unmatchable class. Their music and tones can melt the toughest rock. The feelings are eternal. We are the lucky generation grew up with good music such as this.
Finding these videos by Los Indios Tabajaras brought tears to my eyes.Their music has been a joy in my life since I first heard their 1st album,Maria Elena back when I was a kid in 1963.
I saw a number of their concerts here in Canada, got to meet them several times, and think that they are among the very best acoustic guitarists, if not the very best, especially when they play the classical repertoire. I wish jmalajr success with his doc on these two great guitarists.
In the realm of Classical Music---they are the most ORIGINAL interpretive artists. There are no other Classical Guitarists who play or even sound like them!
Sad to say Antenor has passed away about 8 years ago, but Nato is STILL a powerful Guitarist even in his mid 80's! His lovely wife Michiko plays the accompaniment Guitar. I saw them at Carnegie Hall in NYC in the fall of 1995! It was a wonderful concert...
It has always boggled my mind as to why Los Indios were never "plastered" all over the internet, in mp-3's, or especially video's.
I'm so happy to see that along with the film that will be released about the two brother master guitarists, that so much interest still remains about them.
Thier playing will always be second to none, and in todays computer generated society, that old world sweat, blood, tears, and charm still prevail!

A true master and legend!

Now we know there is great video of this legendary guitarist out there made by the host of this video.
How many more passings of great legends must we be forced to wait before we can ever have access to such important stuff like that?
So far there is only this one remaining clip now.
The original "pitch" was pulled off of here a long time back.
Will it ever be offered for sale, or for public viewing?
So whats the verdict jmalajr?????
