  • "Wish List" is still one of my fav cds today. Lock It is a beautiful song..

  • Pat Hayes what a cutie!

  • I gave you a necklace Purple and Blue You took it so gently I felt see through Sky was bright with the satellites The Wire door slammed and the night began We drank and were together then you laughed at the sound of the crowd around.... Christ I really like I gave you a necklace Purple and Blue You took it so gently I felt see through Chorus Take Me Home Lock it Up Take Me Home Lock it Up
  • Aaaahhh the Falling Joys... I really like you...

  • Used to see at the Petersham Tavern. Sexy, poppy, hooky guita-laden songs with great lyrics and an Aussie flavour. What more could you want? The Clouds were great too.

  • The sexiest song ever written. Still love you, Suzie

  • This was first cassette tape I bought, that I physically wore out...and never saw the clip till now...thanks !!

  • Come & see the Joys live again in Sydney!! moshtix.com.au

  • Saw them last night (26 Feb 2011) in Canberra. So good. Outdoor event with a small crowd of about 500 on the lawns of Lake Burley Griffin. It was like they hadn't stopped playing these last 15 or so years, bloody fantastic. Patricia Young from the Clouds even helped out in a couple of songs.

  • Didn't The Church also come from Canberra?

  • @poetscornerhostel - the embryo of The Church was definitely formed in Canberra, although most of them came from elsewhere (SK and MWP were both born in the UK, for example).

  • Start is a little ponderous, but gets better, much better.

  • wicked song from a cool band,so much better than the shit played o the radio, triple j included.

  • I saw this great band at QUT campus in the mid to early 90's, I can tell you all that it was one of lifes great pleasures to hear a band live sounding btr than the cassette!

  • TOP SHELF

  • One of my very first cds ever bought...

  • @Realisticalcynic me too!

  • oh more memories.. my first 'gig' the clouds, falling joys and ratcat

  • this was one of my first 5 cds ever bought.,

  • I had a massive crush on Suzie. When they were working at EMI 301 for a couple of days I played a game of pool with her in the rec room and I wasn't disappointed, smart, funny and of course, gorgeous. Naturally she had a boyfriend and we 80s indie blokes would never have tried to whiteant :-)

  • I remember those days well back in Canberra playing second fiddle to the Falling Joys and wanting to ask Suzie Higgie out but was too afraid. Those were the days, yes she played a damn sexy guitar.

  • Suzie Higgy, no woman has ever played the guitar in such a sexy fashion.

  • Reminds me of Cathay in Nesca parade Newcastle, early 90s...

  • I sooo love this song....reminds me of being on acid.....and HAVING NO LOVER.SHIT!!!

Ah its all good...had good wanks.

  • "Probably the only good thing to come out of Canberra! :P"

    What about DAAS and Sidewinder??

Great vid, thanks for posting :)

  • The only good things to come out of Canberra are:

    1) Porn

    2) Fireworks

    3) Falling Joys

One time two guys in Canberra tried to roll me, I said "Eh? I'm not from around here mate"... They said sorry and went of their way... pfft wtf?

  • @LeatherCladVegan Bhahaha sounds about right....

  • One of my favourite songs of all time.

  • Gorgeous song and video. Thanks for reminding me of when Australian music was beautifully written and crafted

  • Yep. You can get em off Ebay! I actulley know the guitarist in this band.

  • Whoa.. what an amazing song!! I just stumbled on this while searching for Died Pretty songs... does anyone know if their albums are still in print?

  • I doubt it. Your best bet is a record fair or second hand CD shop or ebay.

  • wishlist is an awesome album

  • They were from Canberra? Wow. I was from Canberra, and I always thought they were from Sydney....

  • Let me revise the comment.....The Falling Joys and tyggerjai were the only good things to come out of Canberra! :P
