WoW Fishing with the Wiimote

Looks more complicated than the regular way. I read or surf the web while I fish on WoW one-handed so I'll stick to my way. Interesting though, I suppose, if you want to make it a little bit more realistic!

I'm doing the same thing for my fishing and have been doing it for a while now. I used to play my toon on my wii-fit and have my nunchuck + wiimote work for either my bow or gun on my hunter. I'd use the wii-fit controller as a platform to either have my toon run or walk in the game. Not reliable to use in a Raid, but fun if your just solo playing.

doing this is very well possible, a wiimote can be very easily hooked up to a computer using bluetooth, and there are plenty of premade programs to run on the computer using the wiimote, if youre interested just look up johnny chung lee videos, he made some pretty awesome stuff

Well actually its possible. There is a program that allows you to sync up your wii controller with your computer and then you set certain actions with the wii to act as certain keys. This video may or may not be fake but regardless its possible.

hah no dude this is a good alternative to warhammer and new mmorpg scene since they use similar controls for wow, THIS WILL MAKE GRINDING FOR LEVELS SO ENTERTAINING, i mean fish,walk around, ride your mount, use a blue-tooth adapter for a blue-tooth headset connection to pc, to talk to people, the mouse and keyboard won't be used by me once I get my hands on this.

This is in fact true, many videos on youtube have shown it, if you want I can even PROVE to you that it's possible. It's not hard, just a couple of downloading here and there. I will admit though, that the button mapping, and mouse coordination is a little off, but cmon.

Very easy to fake, and you can see the delay that shouldnt be there

I provided the method that I did it with, so you're more than welcome to try it and see for yourself. The delay was due to a "wait 1 second" command before releasing the fishing bind combined with server lag, which I've fixed in my latest copy of the script.

I don't doubt it can be done but that doesn't make this fake or at the most you fake it somewhat. I highly doubt you flick your remote to cause it to reel in.

This was done by just mapping "Shift-Right click" to a certain positive force on the Z-axis accelerometer. At rest, the accelerometer is accelerated towards the earth at -9.8m/s, and jerking upward sharply spikes this, as you'd expect, which makes it trivial enough to look for and map to input.
