Not that it's important but Ritchie been wearing wigs since 77 (the first tour i seen him on),that,s a FACT(Cozy powel used to rip the piss out of him when he got his first).!Quite a few "rock stars" do,i guess its keeping up your appearence for the fans and confidence on stage maybe.

But we digress,the man is an amazing guitar player and should be knighted for services to the guitar!!

@zofo666 Yep, I had a Deep Purple poster way back in the early 70's and his hair was receeding at both sides in that picture. All of a sudden he had this massive thatch of black hair that he's kept to this day. He's had some great wigs,lol, and for me he's always been the No.1 Rock guitarist!

This incarnation of Rainbow was a joke. The only good thing was that Ritchie for once liked to change the setlist around a bit compared to back in the late 70's and early 80's. 'Stranger In Us All' was an embaressment compared to 'Rising', 'Long Live Rock N Roll', 'Difficult To Cure' and 'Down To Earth'.

Erm...that's Doogie White, not Joe Lynn Turner. White may well be a schmuck and bit of an all-round tit, but JLT is a great singer, although he wasn't the man for Purple and was a complete change from Dio. Getting back to the song, LLR&R was always a disappointment live, and never had the full sound on the album. Shame.
