Knowing the city as a resident, most of those avoiding you were likely doing so because it's near impossible to walk down the centre of the MK shopping centre without someone trying to sell you something - and they likely though it was part of some ad campaign or other, instead of just a nice person giving out hugs to anyone who wanted one. Sad but true. :P

@chrisssj2 It's not the hugging, it's the filming that probably caused concern - there's very strict regulations on recording anybody without their permission, especially in instances like this where their faces are clearly visible. Still, it was an awesome idea and even though I was stuck in work all day I did see them handing out their huggyness :) Cool idea guys.
