@hollandmehr I haven't used Mac's since high school. Do they still freeze up and get that annoying spinny rainbow wheel which locks up everything. And you like try every possible key combination to try and get into task manager like program so you can terminate the locked up process. But its just not letting you do anything and you end up unplugging the scanner and moving it to a Windows PC and install the drivers and everyone is like wow you can do that and you say "yea windows just works".

Now, I am not saying Windows is that complex but let me tell you what great engineering is by someone who has a degree in electronics. Great engineering is when anyone with any intelligence level can basically understand how to use it. Why should a computer require a college degree in order to use it?

A 747, you must arm the batteries, begin the APU, wait for the IRS to align for 15 mins. Arm all the airflow and air pressurisation systems.  Go into the Inflight Computer and type in your company route like YssyYbbn to go from sydney to brisbane. Contact the town for engine start up, begin fuel flow, spool up engines 1.4 wait for them to stabalise then go to 2,3. Yeah, pc isn't like that.

OK let me help you out: C:\ contains the OS unless you did something really stupid or you’re booting it from another drive, D:\ most likely an OS establish back up drive or CD/DVD drive, another Hard Drive or another HD partition. C:\Program Files\ (only look here when shortcut to program disappears from every were),

This is nowhere near comprehensive but I considerate it a decent Windows File System Guide for beginners (note: only checked one Vista but pretty sure works fine in XP).
