Actually it shouldn't be too hard to accept a load of pennies for payment if you can be assured that there are no nickels or dimes or quarters or paper bills mixed in. All you need to do is weigh them and you'll know, within a couple percentage points' margin, how much actual money is there. As long as you're willing to accept some margin of error...
Pennies arent made out of copper anymore if you cut it in half theres a grey thing in there that i believe it zinc....so copper pennies stopped like in the 70s
I'd melt the metal down and sell it. After all, the copper that is used to make pennies are worth more in weight than the actual penny haha. So it costs more to produce a penny than what it's actually worth. How fucked up is that?!
@micronux Try $265 due to the 9.8% going rate in the U.S. also traditional coin counters can only process up to $2500 in coins without special assistance. So unless these people are going to count those pennies at the Mint... suck my balls
This is the first sales link I got when typing "high speed coin counter" into google. And I'm sure that is not even a bargain deal, there might be models that count faster and cost a lot less. Should take around an hour and a half to count all those coins. I seen another counter that cost $60 and was able to count 320 coins per minute now that would take 15hrs so I decided to go with a more reasonable counter.
lol thats probably only 1-2 inches deep of pennies, if that was all pennies the suspension would bottom out no doubt
