  • Man I love Toyota Chasers!

  • I whish they teach me how to do it

  • Do you change clutch every lap ;) hehehe

  • Fuck it, freakin' noisy.

  • @MrIlovebmw86 oh yea? so ford gt isnt one of the top cars ever built??? lol n00b.. how bout jump off the band wagon..

  • skyline is the winner.....

  • THAAAAAAAAANKS GOD FOR NO STUPID MUSIC!!!!

  • Skyline V8???... WTF???...

  • i came continuously from 0:18 to 1:49

  • People think Japanese invented drift. V8 owners invented drift back in the 50s but it was called power sliding,

Japanese were still riding donkeys in the 50s.

  • @ohnoes300c bro.. what a stupid comment.. if they ride donkeys in 50s, there wont be any attack on PEARL HARBOR.. KABOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!!!!!!!

one more thing.. for v8 owners back in the 50s.. not power sliding.. but oversteer.. !!!!!!! hahahhaha

  • @hazzuar America and Europe have led the automobile industry since the 1900s. When ever you invest in anything whether it be cars, planes, houses, cows or horses, you will always choose the one with the most experience and history because Humans are creatures of habbit. Even Aristotle knew this and he was from 300BC. We gain excellence from repetition. So when you want fast, solid, reliable and safe you go USA or Euro. JDM is aimed at the less fortunate who cant afford to splash cash. Look it up

  • @ohnoes300c yup, thats true bout all the thing u said.. end of the day.. u ride with your euro car and i stick with my asian car.. pointless argument.. i am out..

  • @ohnoes300c retard

  • @ohnoes300c

fucking idiot lol. america made the worst fucking cars from 1970 to 2007.

  • @MrIlovebmw86 i second that motion worst cars in the world if you even want to consider turning a corner

  • Comment removed

  • these guys are supposed to be pros, why are they using the magic wand all the time

  • @keeevan he doesnt?

  • @aidan21 he pops it each entry

  • @keeevan hes pretty good, id imagine he knows what hes doing, also imagine hed fuck you upat drifitng so... do one.

  • @aidan21 iv done many but no doupt his experience makes him a better driver. I wouldnt/ dont use the wand unless i enter too early in which case its to lengthen my approach. A good swing back and forth always does the trick.

  • @keeevan using the hand break makes it more controlable as you guarentee the back locking when wanted at a rate wanted, then giving time to power on....

    Just efficient.

I use my handbreak all the time.

  • @aidan21 to each their own styles i guess, drive safe

  • V8 Skyline Jheez

  • what engine is installed on the r33, nissan engine??, vh45de???.if a ls1, do not share, I do not like the mixes, I love this rb`s engines, I have the s13 swap rb25det.

    greetings, good video, good sound

  • @maickS13

Its an LS2 (6ltr) but the main cap split in two and now being rebuilt with a heavy duty race Dart block - rated at 1600bhp

  • The ls1 conversion is extremely popular here in aus. Just off the top of my head i can think of 5 cars in the aussie series that have them.

  • Maybe an M5 v8, but I really thought, like here, all the V8 are LS1 or LS7

  • @DinkyMax probably

  • Hmmmm.... That lifter noise its making could NOT possibly be a BMW motor. It sounds More like a pushrod motor to me.

Im gonna take a guess and say that more than likely a chevy LS1 swap. Those motors have become pretty popular for drift competition lately.

  • m5 v8

  • does anyone know what kind of v8 is in the e30 bmw

  • now thats 8 cylinders of pure testicular juice right there

  • lol

  • For all the V8 haters out there, this video is for you :P Have a great day.

  • a bit of left foot brake , juz to slow it down a little bit ????? using left foot brake ?????? in drift ?????? hm ok . then in the first place don bring the rev up too much (throttle too much) b4 poping the clutch . its like redundancy . man i juz cant understand western way of thinking . why make it complicated if u can do it in a simpler way . DOH . too much of acting to b a proffesional . tats like wasting a fraction of time in drifting .

  • I believe what he was trying to say is that between drifts, not initiating, he uses a little left foot braking. I believe he says its for the transitions.

  • Its all about control anyways and if using a little braking in the middle of turn helps him then that's the way he's going to do it.

  • btw how u all learn left foot braking ? i cant seem to get it right . tats the onli technique i cant yet to master . lolz

  • the e30 won

  • wat ?

  • who win?

  • drifting and sliding is finess and contol it just takes practice and understanding of what techniques to use and when, to achieve your desired drift. drifting is not ment to be fast.. just pretty doesnt mean its easy but it takes time and tires to get it right

  • holly fuck look at the fucking spoiler thats fucking retarded

  • But it´s really works :) Not like, super biggest best spoiler on peugeot 206 1.2 htp :-D

  • yea it looks nasty, but those E30's really do need them. They're super light in the rear and especially at those speeds, That wing really helps them

  • Dude, they're doing like 40-60 mph at the fastest. The E30 don't need it on this little ass track, mm-kay? The driver or builder is a ricer, flat out.

  • i highly doubt thats the only track he slides. Plus hes a pro driver, so i woudnt call him a ricer

  • Well, it's a bolt-on spoiler, so he could have taken it RIGHT OFF for the small track, instead of looking like a fool. I build performance vehicles, so honestly I can call anyone I want a ricer.

  • yea but in the end, hes a pro driver and you have a piece of shit chevy

  • And that means something? Piece of shit is a funny statement, especially when referring to my bad ass truck.

  • @420witchdoctor, i sincerely hope thats not what you were referring to as the "performance" vehicles you build

  • Lol, no that's my towing rig. I build old school VW's, Audis, and aircooled Porsches for rally and track, and I mess around with swaps.

  • @MonkeyHands4 FUCK U chevy is amazing

  • @420witchdoctor drifting takes skill and lots of it and it isn't racing its drifting. you try and drift past 80mph and your tyres will shred in seconds and if you don't understand what a ricer is look it up. the wings are to try and help keep G's to the rear tyres. their huge because their going low speeds.

  • @dmied1 You don't think I know these things? I drift myself, dude, and if you use a hard enough compound, they don't shred up like that.

  • @420witchdoctor a hard enough compund makes the car snap out. it is rarely used for drifting

  • @dmied1 I use hard compound tires all the time; i.e. Hankook all-weather performance, Toyo Seasonal series. You know, economy tires? Find them at the junkyard, 10 bucks a pop and three years of sun to harden them up. I drift my 1 and a half ton Silverado 350 around all over the place, and hey, it's a 2WD and it's low for stock, so it get's the job done. IDK, man, I'm on a rant, but my point is: you can drift anything RWD, with any setup. It's all the driver.

  • @420witchdoctor at what speed is this and i think you may only be powersliding as driftng is the control of a car when all four wheels are moving at a different velocity to the car ie. you have no tyres gripping. i can powerslide in muzzy but not drift at speed

  • they mak it look like a fat boy eaing cake ( fucking easy) hahahah

  • yay !

  • I didnt realise drifting was big or even known in the uk! and Im suprised they arnt doing silly shit like droping Rb25's into triumph tc 2500.

  • dont know if they drop em into 2500 but they do some silly shit

  • Its some pretty tidy drifting they're doing there.

good to see how drifting has developed differently in other countries, we usualy keep it a bit more jap original here with the cars used are either A31 cefiros R31's s13's but we have had some of our local fords enter with some success.

Is drifting big were you are? I know drag racing is!!

  • drifting is slowly growing, not many places to practice and not enough skills, very few puertoricans know how to drive properly, and even less care about doing it.... drag racing is the thing to do here, and still they loose control of 150hp machines and kill themselves... so u get the idea...

  • ive noticed a few crazy dattos come from there!! alot of people kill themseves regardlesss of power!! just bad control..

  • clashproduction is the shit!

  • holy shit ! amazing !

  • that BMW has a 5.0 liter v8 from the m5 : )

  • the m5 has a v10

  • i meant the old m5 engine

  • oh ok

  • its a 4.4 v8 from the m5

  • i saw it in a mag its bored to 5.0

  • yay 1uz

  • Never even heard of a V8 Skyline!! Thought they where all L6 Twin T. Is it a custom made?

  • engine swap from a c4 corvette

  • oi r u in a monaro or gto maybs???

  • i wonder if thats a vh45de in that skyline either way its gotta be from the vh family or vk family go nissan

  • no sorry its a chavy v8 ls 7

  • blahhh lol

  • damn that shit wus sicknasty

  • Great driving! Damn a V8 Skyline??? Thats awesome

  • german wins :) nice :)

  • thats fucking sick

  • its a simple as he just says(i wish)

  • Fuck you, this is sick.

  • go drive your ford mustang douche

  • Don't have one.

  • fuck you know when its a good video when you get goose bumps. great drifting loved it

  • Excelente video!!

  • yeah he would have done a engine swap for it to be v8, which it 100% sounds like a v8,

  • i dont remember skyline being a v8 its probally a 6inline engine or its been thru some engine swapping

  • It is def swapped. Theres a TT V8 R34 in Aussie land killing the drift circuits.

  • You cant beat V8 power.

  • no replacement for displacement

  • Sure you can. With intelligence. Or a V12.

    lol.

Dumbasstics VS Ricers is just flat out silly. Hell, what I would consider to be the scourge of all cars (honda civic) has surpassed 8 second times. Go look it up.

Any engine can be fast, no matter the number of cyls or even the displacement. That shit's for oldtimers and tree branch mechanics.

So, in closing, to say that you 'cant beat V8 power' is about as silly as thinking Clay Aiken rubs his weiner on girls for enjoyment.

  • I know, but its the sound of the V8 that just makes you feel invinsible. I know a 4cyl can beat an 8cyl but its just not as fun when your car sounds like a dying bumble bee (usually because of those wide-mouth tuner exhausts). I can accept the fact that you can run an 8sec 1/4 mile in a civic but there are reasons why most professional race teams of any kind use V8s. e.g. Drag, Stock Car racing, Formula 1, and teams are beginning to use V8s in drifting too.

  • I've got a Silver Anniversary Corvette in my garage (L-82 engine, maybe 5k dumped into it) that sounds like it eats children for breakfast.

I've also got an RB25det-swapped 240 that sounds mean enough to punch infants (and yes, i will happily take pics to verify holding signs that say my screenname). Both cars have been modified, both sound equally hardcore.

The shop I work for makes a point to try to bridge the gap between domestic lovers and tuners, we've all got cyls and we all love speed.

  • Thats good, sorry if I was being a little harsh before.

  • can drive..

  • listen to that engine purr.... SMOKIN

  • o that was a good as battle

  • The V8 engine in the Skyline is a full race spec unit with dry sump system, forged steel crank, forged pistons, steel rods, aluminium heads etc. It cost £9k for the lump alone. Money wasnt the issue. Torque, drivebility and relaibility is what its all about.

  • Some Big Bad Turbo/s,some Valve Timing...Some extra loads /:D/ of cash and u have an Incredible MONSTER!U can actually feel the torque of this RB26...AWSM video :P

  • NICE

  • dude that car sounds so sexy

  • wtf why v8 with skyline just keep the rb26dett orso

  • v8s tend to develop lots of low down torque which is perfect for drifting.

  • yeah ok that's treu but if you tune youre car good for drifting you can have a rb26dett with a lot of low down torque a hard mid range puch and thats it

  • yeah very true.

its cool to be different though...

  • yeah thats treu to but in my eyes you better keep an jap with jap parts and musle with musle and so on but i think its cheaper for a company that havent as much money say like tanabe orso

  • with a Chevy V8 you can be a little more forgiving with your tune and don't have to set the motor "on kill" to get the same performance. You get a longer life out of the motor without sacrificing performance. if you think about it in simple terms it's easier to put a big motor in a light car to get it to perform, than it is to get the same results with less motor. or litres make leaders

  • not really, for drift, no point putting a massive engine in the front, it can screw the balance of the car, if he kept the engine which was original to tfor that car (RB25), all you need is a ecu, injectors and bigger turbo, and it will be pushing out 400hp at the rears on stock internals, and its lighter, so in the end it would beat a 600hp v8,

  • The LS6 is lighter than your rb25 (heavy turbos n manifolds). For the 240sx ka24de, this v8 is quite a bit lighter, giving you better weight distribution, and better gas mileage in a 2400lbs car. When you have the torque, understeer isn't an issue. If it was then you'd see a 4banger in the C6 vette instead of your "heavy v8". Lets use some logic here. Plus if you're swapping in the V8 and actually know what you're doing you can drop the engine back to get an even better weight distribution.

  • no its not, read up about it before you start saying crap, google it if you have to, a ls6 with gearbox wieght is 220kg, wieght of a rb25det with gearbox is under 200kg, i know because i have a wieght sheet of how heavy it was, and specially because it only took 3 people to lift off the truck (70kg each person),

  • Like Buck said, you can move the engine lower and further back for better weight distribution. Skylines are heavy to begin with, so a little extra weight to get better torque and power is worth it.

Why do you think so many guys swap V8's into FD's, for example. A rotary is capable of tons of power... Yet they're unreliable and expensive to maintain. V8's are reliable and relatively cost effective.

You have done some research, I'll give you that. You're just missing a couple details ;)

  • very true but the 6 cyl. rb's can have alot more torque cuz they have VALVE TIMING which is high torque @ low speeds and then as the RPM builds boost from the turbochargers spools and you get more torque.

  • no matter what you do to a RB26 you wont get the instant response of V8 Torque. This engine has around 400lb/ft 540NM @ 2000rpm, peaking at 480lb/ft.

The car also won the next, and final, round of the EDC.

    Apex Performance & KSport FTW!!

  • yes it can if you tune it right and mabye not the instant reponse but some thing like it

  • I think the results speak for themselves.

    3 EDC Wins from 6 rounds ....

Lets see how the car goes at the Red Bull World drift championships in the US mid November.

  • yeah ok i didnt mean it wasnt good orso

  • a skyline with a v8 is pretty nuts.

But a mustang with an rb26.... Nah

  • lol, good one gilhooley28.

  • fookin badass like :p

  • Absolutley fantastic Stephane, thankyou.

Tims Apex Pwerformance Skyline has a small block chevy V8, and handling parts by APEX.

This was the second of 3 wins for the season :)

  • ahh bonbon lost his drift :*(
