This grouping of Drifters were very good! These guys were so incredibly SCREWED OVER by the Treadwell family... THESE Drifters were Johnny Moore's pride and joy.. Now because of some legal BS, the Turney-Lamarr-Bynoe-Alan group is no longer allowed to call themselves the Drifters and in their place are 4 piss-poor singers picked by Treadwell... and that group can't keep a solid line-up for more than a year... it's trash and unfair to THESE much more talented individuals

i was back stage with them a fair while back when the great johnny moore was still with us(sorry even greater guy).

unlike most groups/bands their hearts are in the music and they really care about the people who are listening.

Love this song! I saw the Drifters many times in the early and middle 60's before they did this song. Ben E. King was the lead singer when I first saw them many moons ago!

I'm 30 years-old and my parents loved "beach music", in fact, they still do. But they played this and a number of other songs every time we went to the beach when I was a kid. For some reason, it popped into my head today on the way home from work and I had to look it up. It's still great! Long live the Drifters!!

Poor Johnny Moore, died penniless thanks to Faye Treadwell's awful management. She pretty much 'owned' Johnny and he knew it. He was the voice of the Drifters but she owned the name Then after he died she abandoned the name, these guys continued touring with the Moore family's blessing, Treadwell sees a market, sues for the name and wins. WHAT A TRAVESTY! Pete, Rohan, Patrick & Vic worked hard to build their reputation, they sold out venues...then along comes TREADWELL!!!! UGH!

The Drifters date back to the early 50's with Clyde McPhatter and Ben E. King asoriginal lead singers and there are maybe 10 touring groups using the name but what the hell..it's great music...enjoy

I have seen these 4 guys 5 times in Leeds, bradford and York, UK....I fell in love with Rohan after taing my mum to see them, then waiting for a pic with them...he now remembers me when i see him after the shows, and I have my treasured pics with him!!Can't believe they have to change names!! I don´t like those new guyes! I have seen them a few weeks ago and were dissapointet!

Procol Harum's Gary Booker (A World of Love). This is the BEST video I've seen this year. I wish we could see more performances of this caliber in the US.

Can you believe that owing to a legal mess up and despite 20 years or so performing together as the Drifters these guys are no longer able to use that name?! They were asked by the longest serving member ever - the late but great Johnny Moore to carry on the legacy....they are now endorsed by both the MOORE family and one of the main songwriters of the hits Roger Greenaway...

I have the DVD of this show and it is absolutely fantastic. This line up pays a great tribute to Johnny Moore throughout the concert which is a very nice touch to it.
