I don't think that picture is from this song's recording. It sounds like Gregg is playing his Hammond Organ (and singing) and it sounds like Joe Bonamassa playing the guitar (and singing as well, along with John Popper). I don't hear Elvis Costello. Anyone know if there is a video of this concert somewhere?
If you don't feel something when you hear that beautiful man's voice, then I wouldn't understand that ! Gregg Allman is a master. He still sings from the soul. It's not something you can fake. He is the real deal....
@allmansgirl I agree, I can't imagine anyone not feeling this - or any of Gregg's vocals. He is the most genuine, powerful, and emotive soul to possess a VOICE - ever!
@screeningmimi : AMEN !!!!! I just got notified by another fan of the Allman Brothers, who is on this sight, that they are doing 6 shows starting in Nov !!!! NOTHING keeps Gregg down baby !!! He continues to live the life, to feel the music and share his gift every chance he gets !!!! God bless his recovery from this latest set back and may we all be blessed with many more years of this genius !!!
@wingsticks It's just GREAT isn't it! We've known for years he is the BEST on the Hammond B3 organ and an accomplished accousitic player, but his fingers are flying on that Fender. I wonder what other surprises he has up his sleeve.
To our great big beautiful "yellar dawg", WAIL ON!
I would be so extremely Grateful if you could send me a link to this song in its entirety. Or maybe post it. I've had no luck finding this verion with Greg.
This is so, so amazing....I've seen alot of Gregg Allman jams and this by far at the top of the list...his voice is so flippin' strong here.....oh yes!!! Thanx for posting this!!!!! What year was this...I'm guessing right before his surgery.
@ketchuph8r I wanted to get the soul of it out there, this section of the song is so powerful i didnt want any first time listeners to loose interest during the slower build up at the beginning. But i for one love the entire song!
@Zeeblues Thanks so much for posting this section, Zeeblues. Your plan worked. : ) It absolutely grabs you! If one is looking for 'background music' they'd be wise to pass Mr. Allnan up, and this song in particular. The section you chose truly shows what a master he is!

Exactly. It's an awesome jam type song, but it takes a while to get to this part!
It's definitely one of the most spirited later era Greg Allman vocals out there. Thanks for posting.
